The controversial poster regarding a recent incident with House Darius and a rat was unceremoniously torn off the Baldur's Gate bulletin board.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
Sightings of activity about the Wanderess continue. Some say they intend to join the hunt for pirates.
Some sailors would speak of a generous captain, one whose cut of booty is equal across all ranks and seniority, but also includes the ship herself in the matter as a lady of her own. Some also say the captain takes no cut of her own. Whether such generosity is just hearsay or not, remains to be seen.

Osric publically applauds the arrival of Neverwinter's reinforcements. He would make an overture at meeting Commander Vann to express his gratitude and support for the coming battles.DM Soulcatcher wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 1:39 pm
The harbour is bustling with news of three ships have arrived at Baldur’s Gate, sailing under Bandera of Neverwinter. As soon as they’ve arrived at piers, several numerous contingents of soldiers have left the ship decks, forward came a richly armoured soldier that had met with Captain Beluarion and a small group of Flaming Fist soldiers. The soldier, or Commander Vann as he introduced himself, is said to have publically proclaimed to have arrived here with three Companies of Neverwinter’s soldiers as a nod of the Lord’s Alliance to Baldur’s Gate in the growing efforts to put an end to the infernal invasion of Dragonspear Castle. The Commander has been invited to the Flaming Fist compound, while his soldiers station themselves around the Lord’s Alliance Headquarters and Flaming Fist Headquarters for the time being.
Apparently, another three companies have been stationed with Waterdhavian soldiers out near Daggerford- the northern frontline of Dragonspear War.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
Another day goes by...and the Temple of Tyr within Baldur's Gate shows a now-usual-though-rather-unusual effort to what appears to be a march or drill, led by the one called Henryk the Damaran, perhaps known, followed or drilling the Acolytes of Law...just as may have been witnessed over days in the past.
Whether successful or not, Henryk would be leading this drill in seriousness yet intentionally with as much subtlety as possible, as not to rile up and commoners to his work. "All in good service to the Just God...all in good service to the Peoples of Baldur's Gate...." would Henryk say, in response to any queries by the Common Folk.
Would any more adventurous types interact with Henryk and his small retinue of acolytes from the Temple, he would be more forthcoming, perhaps even quite forthcoming in his response, after taking and attempt to size up the abilities and intentions of He or She that would ask, directly or indirectly, just exactly What was he and his acolytes doing. "The wicked always strike where one is weakest, for they have no regard for Honor and the direct approach. I have been privy to the direct, and have seen where the most Evil can strike at the weak...and I shall not let the city of Baldur's Gate offer any weakness, as the days approach."
Should the adventurous sort or the Willing to Defend be of type to offer Henryk assistance in his task, to which Henryk radiates a severe seriousness to the importance of his "mission," Henryk would invite them to the Temple, so that he could explain further, as their leisure...though, he would remind them to not take long, for the Wicked do not Rest.
As well, where the City Watch or any of the Flaming Fist may stop Henryk in his drill-training, suspicious or curious to the reasons, Henryk, always forthright, would declare his Leave by Duke Eltan, to temporarily act as Defender to the City, until otherwise denoted by Event or Word. Henryk can even produce a scroll bearing the Grand Narhelm's seal, should any doubt his claim.

The knight errant, Henryk the Damaran, carries on with regular marches to the Refugee Camp, those whom he continues to offer protection as champion to their, making sure they are at alert, and to gleam whatever information may be traveling from the Front.

Hours later, at greater heights, the ranking Sword of Tyr to the Temple of the Just God, keeps his vigilant watch upon the City.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate

Those passing through the harbor district might get an urge to look over their shoulder or squint into a dark alley, never quite seeing anything but also not able to shake off that feeling of being watched.
Perhaps it is just figments from frightened minds with the devil threat looming so close. Or perhaps there is some truth to the quiet stories of the city having other defenders.
Whatever the truth might be, Hendryk's vigilant watch is not interfered with - unless he would stray too deep into the harbor district.

A poster written in Common and Elven can be seen in a few places along the Coast:
OOC notes:
Seeking competent guards and artisans for an expedition into and below the Calishite ruins south of Wyrm's Crossing. Payment will consist of five (5) Waterdhavian dragons per person, plus a share of any goods repossessed from the kobolds and other creatures in the party's path.
The mission is slated to begin early on the 16th of Eleint, provided a party containing the following can be assembled:
The mission is slated to begin early on the 16th of Eleint, provided a party containing the following can be assembled:
- At least one (1) fighter of moderate or better proficiency
- At least one (1) artisan of moderate or better proficiency
- No more than five (5) members, including the expedition leader
OOC notes:
- The party will leave the Blade and Stars on September 15, 10:00 UTC.
- Ollie's payment is measured in hundreds of gp (under the assumption that 1gp IG is ICly actually 1cp), so this works out to 500gp per character, plus loot.
- Average party level should be somewhere in the 7-11 range. Ollie is currently a solid 9, but will accept characters from 5-13. (So long as it doesn't upset the APL too much.)
- The 'fighter' role basically needs to be capable of... well, fighting. They'll be expected to either draw or outright prevent enemy fire long enough to defeat incoming hostiles, so I'd advise fighters, monks, paladins, some more combative cleric builds, etc.
- The 'artisan' role needs to have a high skill level in various crafting skills to pass skill checks. Lore skills may also be advisable for the same reason.

A note is attached to several of Ollandor's posters, as bilingual as the original text:
Due to an unforeseen incident, the expedition will be moved up a day, to the 15th of Eleint.
OOC: The trip is being moved up to this Saturday, September 14. No other changes are expected at this time.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
A young, dirty-looking wood elf woman could be seen entering the Flaming Fist headquarters with a lightly-armored human in tow. The duo seemed to be reporting the possible presence of a necromantic cult in the graveyard east of the Gate, believing themselves unprepared to tackle the threat.

Everwatch, Members of the Public,
The Everwatch invite all of lawful and non-evil intent to participate in the first public class of the Everwatch Training School in this year 1355 DR to take place in the northern Amnian town of Nashkel on the 5th of Leaffall ((October 5, 2019 at 18:00 GMT)). There, members of the Everwatch will be training with non-Everwatch in a martial social environment in areas of morality, leadership, drill & ceremony, tactics, discipline, and martial cultural. This is meant to build cohesion among all participating and to make better and more vigilant guardians of us all. Participants interested and that prove themselves may also then apply to become an auxiliary militia in the aid of security of Nashkel if they do not wish to seek membership in the Everwatch outright.
While the school is not-for-profit, a donation per participant of 2,000 gold pieces will be required to cover school costs and to aid in various charitable causes of the Church of Helm.

OOC Information:
The Performers Guild would like to extend an invitation for interested parties to join us at our public Open Stage
Night and perform or observe as desired. To that end, we encourage participants to come prepared, and find
gracious the limitation of one act per person. Our theme, as surmised, covers interpretations of all things
regarding "change". IC questions can be directed to Oona Siofra. We look forward to seeing you there!
The event will be held on Saturday the 28th of September, starting @ 20:00 GMT / 4PM EDT.

A silver haired woman, many would identify as Solaris Cult, would approach the Darius Estate with several bags containing her belongings. Upon entry she would inform the person that received her that her arrival had been expected by a one Nathan Goldenmane (who she would subsequently refer to as “Goldie”). She would then request that to be escorted to his sleeping quarters where she claims she is to now share with him.
