The bridge had proven to be quite the fortified spot today as many brave souls had come to man the barricades, gossip, trade and spectate the on-goings. Apparently a debate broke out about hanging light sources underneath the bridge that went as quickly as it came. . . Batibat Kasdeya and Korden Ivatrix seemed to have the area on tight lock-down with Dimensional Locks all over the area. The Baron, Griel Nightgale seems busy today giving orders of formations, inspecting the tents and speaking privately with those who come forth to him. . .

All in all the bridge is quite lively as of late. . .

Three dark-clad individuals leading a small host of minions held the Boareskyr bridge against the lingering Devil presence on the Western shores of the Winding Water last night. Some travellers speak of the return of the Blackrose sisters, and of the Ebon Blades' bridge post being manned once more.

Two Figures Clad in Black stood watch over Boareskyr bridge.
The one woman stood quietly with her pet Dragon watching over the other as she battled the lesser devils on the far side of the bridge, channeling Divine energies killing the lesser spawns immediately.

The devils launched a small attack across Boareskyr Bridge

which was quickly dealt with by various individuals assisted

by Ebon blade and Zhent forces. The aftermath of the battle turned

into a heated dispute between a two of the Zhent defenders. Talk of Treason hung in the air.

A Strangely Friendly Dire wolf approached the Outpost on the Northern Trade way. It didn't seem bothered by the undead nor the Travellers that rested behind its ruined walls. On closer inspection it was revealed that the wolf was under a domination spell. The who or the why of the matter has yet to be revealed.
The Wolf was later free from domination and ran back into the wild.

A group of Zhentarim composed of Agents, Prospects and a Dread Knight have been seen spending a lot of time around the Boareskyr Bridge near Soubar, fortifying their defences, building up camp and generally getting ready for possible attacks by Devils and Undead alike.

While battle raged at the Boareskyr Bridge, fiendish forces battering the gates of Soubar, three individuals broke away from the fray and rushed back into Soubar to evacuate any of the willing civilians towards the Northern Outpost. Amelia Blackrose and Tytos Lyonson of the Ebon Blades, and Marietta Starling of the Zhentarim.

They also rallied their respective forced to join in the fight for Soubar.

Those who travel north of Soubar might have heard or even saw from a distance, a group forming in the fields just outside of the Forest or Wyrms. As the group was assembling a hoard of undead began to swarm them. Shortly after the group entered the dense and, now foul, part of the forest. sounds of battle against a hoard and massive dragon might be heard for those brave enough to go nearer to the forest where they entered. A purple light might also have been seem beaming out of the trees. Later the group emerged and made their way to the city of Baldur's Gate.

Rarer found  are  days  where  the  intended  surrender  of gold is the reason  behind duel's  proposition.
This eve,  however,  saw northern arena beholden to the commotion of two wealthy donors each desiring
to be named sponsor of the White Mask Theater's upcoming Masquerade.  Terms agreed upon on between
the combatants  whom offered the suggestion,  decided  opportunity  would  go to the victor and therein
did draw a small, albeit curious, crowd.

The war raged and the fires burnt.. Ash.... That was all that fell from the sky and the smell of burnt flesh.
The Devils once again launched an attack across the bridge aimed at Soubar. The Fight was fierce and for a time the defenders were overwhelmed.
As those on the front line fought valiantly Soubar Prepared its defenders and took measures in case the devils broke through.
Image

After the Fires died down and the Devils were routed a large group Of Zhentarim and Ebon Blades could be seen heading to the Northern Outpost.
It was there they gathered and talks ensued.

With Devils routed at Soubar the lost and lonely took a moment to consider their desperate position. Devils to the left of them, necromancers to the right of them. Devils offering deals, necromancers offering shelter. Soubar in the middle, Zhents, werecreatures, Ebon and all under Mag's watchful stare. Only the lost and lonely indeed dared linger and those that did could not help wonder at the necromancer new found niceness all the while observing the increasing presence of Undead on the Tradeway. Whatever new horror lay around the corner of life The gaze of distant observers fell upon the changing landscape and for them to wonder at what attention such troubling activity might bring.

The measure of the balance on the Tradeway then to some extent a reflection of how many Undead persisted there or how many were destroyed by interested and concerned citizens. For left to it's own devices this new necromancer on the Tradeway would grow and we are left to wonder once again where have all the heroes gone!

(This is an ongoing RP opportunity for those interested in patrolling or exploring the area no DM required, or those seeking related events)
