If being stealthy is all you're looking for, why not Rogue3/cleric? Between able learner, high INT, and at least one tricksy class, youd be less tricky than a full rogue, but still skilled at it.

If you do a Cleric/rogue/darkfire Disciple it’s down probably to a choice between high caster level OR high sneak attacks

mechanically Cleric 26/SD4 is quite strong, but skill-starved
C12/R3/DFD7/H8 is pretty solid even without HiPS. Utilize summons in order to land sneak attacks.
C13/A8/DFD9 is pretty fun and probably my personal favorite. Sucks you can't get DFD10, but can't qualify for Assassin until level 14... *shrug*
Note that a drow Cleric/Rogue/ShadowDancer/Hierophant is going to be quite ability deficient since you need 19 DEX and WIS plus enough INT to allow you to put skill points everywhere you want it. For all of this you are essentially a HiPS spell caster.... certainly can be done, but if you are looking for more of a mix than I personally feel accepting lower caster level with more sneak dice and HiPS is the way to go. Or, as listed above, mix in DFD to get a bit more sneak dice while losing HiPS.
Everyone's opinion will differ, but you can build a sneaky cleric in multiple ways and it will be perfectly fine. It just won't have the unique synergy of a HiPS mage or Arcane Trickster.
