Hello bgtscc! Dm foresight here bringing you a new and updated event listing for my new upcoming project BACKGROUND EVENTS! For now on I will be hosting a series of player bio events for anyone whom wishes to submit there characters history, these events will be done on weekends and I have plans to run 1 to 3 per weekend depending on the demand. Please do read the rules that I have placed below, both event rules, and background request rules as if you do not meet the requirements it could result in your request being denied. First off I would like to start out with simple event rules, I expect these rules to be followed so that events can run more smoothly for everyone involved.
Event Rules
1. All deaths are considered knockouts, unless I state otherwise during a event. In the case of a actual death, raised players will have a resurrection sickness for the remainder of the event, being both weakened physically and mentally.
2. "DO NOT" attack non hostile creatures, if a creature is not set to hostile then most likely he/she has a more important involvement in the ongoing plot of the event. Though we all wish to believe our characters are impenetrable, violation of this rule will result in your character being horribly killed in a manor that fits the current plot.
3. I am a firm believer in using your character skills, during my events no matter your skill level a natural 20 is always a success and a natural 1 is always a failure. So don't feel useless if your involved in a event that tailors to skills your character is not very trained in, there is always that lucky natural 20 that might give your 6 int half orc a clue that even the wizard of 34 int did not pick up. If you do not roll when I ask for a skill check, I will consider your character to have been preoccupied, and not paying attention to what was going on.
4. No pvp is allowed in my events unless I state so, please do not hostile someone in the middle of a event without first getting my permission. This can break immersion and can lead to needless ooc that can quickly ruin a ongoing plot in certain situations.
5. You do not find anything of importance unless I state that you do, so please do not run around after one of my events claiming that you found something you in fact did not.
6. Try your best to stay in character, we all goof up sometimes to the point where ooc is needed to clarify certain things, but if you can help it stay in character.
7. Share the goodies! if there is loot involved in one of my events do please try to share it, if you have already picked something up, consider your loot round to be over until everyone else has gotten there share, or has passed on the loot.
8. Do not split the party, move as a unit unless the event requires that you split up.

This section is the requirements for me to accept a background event request, all information must stay relatively close to the rules I have written below to be considered and accepted. Once you have read the rules below and meet the standards feel free to send in your background to me with a basic request for what you want in a personal character event. I will get back with you asap to discuss your request.
Background event request rules
1. accurate lore, We are a lore based server on a specific timeline, if your background does not line up with that, im sorry but you cannot be included. I would deem background disqualifications to be.... Imaginary homeland, false character titles, from another world that does not exist etc... basically if I cant find it in dnd or server lore, well we cant do it.
2. Lack of information, The backgrounds to be submitted MUST BE flushed out, after all this is for you guys and gals, if you don't have enough information in your backstory theres nothing I can do, if your going to submit a request I ask that you make sure your background is flushed out.
3. snowflaking, Some things are acceptable, BUT you are not a god reborn in human form, you do not control the power of the tablets of fate, you did not kill a lesser deity and gain their powers, etc..... Im not going to consider any background that displays anything like this.
4. Joint backgrounds, If your background is tied to someone elses I will need both approvals for a event request, I will not run a background event that effects other player characters if they are not even aware of it. or simply not interested.
5. Background conduct, I will not accept anything that is based on sexuality or anything similiar to such, this is a pg server, keep the content around pg and we are good, don't and I will refuse the request.
6. Player involvement, These events are to be designed for you are your own, the people you play with, not just for yourself, so I require a minimal of 4 others to join you on your background journey, and a max of around 10. (though exceptions can be made in certain situations to go above 10 total.) if you cannot meet the requirements I may have to deny the request.
7. Discord sit down, if your request is accepted we will hash out the details, I would like to do this over discord as I can save the messages to plan for the event using the information you wrote to me. this will allow me to filter the wants, and dont wants out for the event so that each and every person gets closer to there desires.
8. if you wish to be included in random lottery events based on minor things within your background please do place the tag (LBE) on your background title so I can easily find you.
9 - I plan to put alot into these events, I want anyone involved to be completely satisfied with how I am to portray there characters story, alot of work will go into it, and there will be many questions so everyone feels they are getting what they wanted. I only ask that if you plan to submit a background event request, you respect the fact that I plan to put hours into it, below is a description of how one on one I plan to get with bringing your character to life.

Unfortunately this background story had to be canceled, but it was the first one I approved and started working on, and the player involved was happy with where it was going. I wanted to post it here so you all can see how I plan to go about bringing these events to you, I hope you enjoy what you see and read, even though ill never get to finish this one, I plan to put the same amount of energy into the coming requests in the future, and this is the reason rule 9 exists. she got inspired by him and they promised each other that they would work very hard to become knights and protect their city and their families.

I like that idea, one thing I wanted to include is a lot of friends and other players, I think it would be cool if he interacts with other people, one thing I added to her biography is that she has become a lot more darker, angrier and mean since Percy disappeared from her life. she is a good example of a good aligned character that is not very tactful sometimes and can be very blunt and inappropriate.
But yeah I was thinking like he can be a deathknight or a vampire, or something dark.

A missing presence and a feeling you dread will never return to you in this life, but you hold you chin up and you do your duty as a knight because you know in the end that's what Percy would want. as the time passes you find yourself faulting in your attitude, a darker brooding feeling from within begins to surface. Though you try your best to keep it in check, your dreams of late have started to change, the warm loving imagens of Percy begin to warp into a twisted dream of nightmares, where you see him fighting devils, and dieing over and over... you don't know how much more you can take! the dreams are changing you and you know that people are beginning to notice, but what can you do? As you sit wake late at night refusing to sleep just for the comfort of knowing the dreams will stay away when you are awake you think how can I fix this, and just as you have done many times before, the idea of talking with your mentor springs to mind, perhaps Alaenna has magics that can stop the dreams, perhaps she can help me finally get rest and put this behind me..... This is where your story begins

This next was what I was able to prepare in the short time before the background event was cancelled, It is a ruff draft, a guideline for me to look over while running the event.
Upon visiting Alaenna, she will find that age has not been kind to her, two short years can be seen on her face, and in her movements.
1. Alaenna will greet her and her friends, and speak in the same tutoring manor she always has.
My what do these old eyes see? you returned to old Alaenna for another lesson? her eyes study you for a moment no.... no that is not it, Something troubles my young student. *walks up grabbing your hand and looking into your eyes* Yes... trouble is afoot, I can see it in your eyes, come inside and tell me all about it Child, and do tell your friends to join us. *she smiles a mostly toothless smile, her old age apparent.
2. After conversating for some time, Alaenna mostly just listening, she speaks, she lets her know she can help her with what she speaks, but it will require something that belonged to percy,
something that truely linked them together, and that the cost will be this belonging. Alaenna takes the group outside to perform a location spell, the ritual seems to be going fine when Alaenna suddenly cringes. she begins to speak while still channeling the spell.
I.... I am having trouble following the path.... her body lightly begins to steam he... *cringes* his remains are somewhere very hot.... the heat... it is intense.... im loosing it.... *she quickly grabs onto her staff with both hands and bursts her sorceress powers through it, slamming them into the middle of the circle and dipping down to one knee to hold the connection* I am in a mm.....mass of.... *cringes and shakes as she holds on to the spell, her body begins to steam heavily now and blisters begin to form on her skin* Mass... of tunnels... the heat.. there is fire.. its everywhere... im close... *the blisters begin to form into burns as she struggles to hold the connection* I.... can see.... I can see him! his form! wait...
she opens her eyes, looking at you Percy is alive! *cringes at the pain and dives back into the spell with all her might* wait... who are.... what are you?... RELEASE HIM! I COMMAND YOU! *her arm bursts into a sea of boils and burning sores as she plunges it into the channeling magics, pulling it out slowly while screaming in pain* GIVE.... IT... TO...... MEEE!!!!!!!! *her hand pulls loose and the spell collapses in on itself as does Alaenna. She falls to the ground covered in sores but still awake. with a shaking burnt hand she opens her palm to reveal a glowing hot ember of stone, dropping it to he ground* *she speaks weakly* listen.... listen to me.... *breaths heavy* Percy is alive.... he is trapped in a place of Eternal fire... Though he is not alone.... something... *weakly goes in and out of conciousness* He is not alone..... Something holds him there.... he cannot escape...... This stone is atuned to his location..... with... *caughs up a small bit of smoke* with the proper magics.... you could go there.... hes.... hes... so alone... only a blinding symbol of Tyr protects him from the flames..... Take this stone and see the man known as the hedge wizard.... *the burns on her body look similiar to that caused by hellfire, and as she continues to speak her tone steadies and the shaking subsides as a smile Come to rest on her old burnt face* The shadows of my past have always tormented me so my dear..... I.... I made bad choices.... So bad that I hoped to die at times....... But then a Young eleven year old girl came into my life, and for the first time in a very long time dear, I begin to feel again, even though you may not have seen it, you gave a old witch hope that she could redeem herself from a life of wickedness....
