~Day 1~

I am here! Finally after days upon days of travelling my feet have reached Baldur's Gate! A realm and kingdom of adventures and heroes.
What a start to it I've had, I was greeted by a street urchin - Upon paying him a single gold coin he took me around the city. Thankfully, after many a dark alley I made it back to the city gates with a full pouch of coin! Often I've heard that those offering these services take the foolish farmer as a mark and lead them to be mugged. I played the role of that country bumpkin quite well today.. Not that I'm anything different..

After I made my way out from the wall, I was taken aback by being greeted by a fully armed force! They weren't there for me, but it gave me quite the attach of panic. What if the merchants I had traveled with here happened to be the unsavory sorts! And pinned a foul ploy upon me.. Thankfully, again I was proven wrong. But still, my heart is still beating something fierce even as I write this page.

Beyond that, I met a few friendly faces! One seemed to be the merchanting sorts; We sat down and he offered me some cracked nuts. I decided not to upset my stomach further. A good man him. A gnome with the most.. odd instrument I've ever heard played a tune - And a made of armor offered his services! I will have to find him again when I decide to travel!
