Who is Darkfauz? The black garbed man who walks with a spear and eyes crackle with sinister power. Or is he a light garbed man wielding a staff? Whoever or whatever he is, he has arrived. On his right arm he bears 5 tattoos that glow with an azure hue, and when he channels his eldric might, they flash with every blast. On his face is strange markings that also glow, but the glow matches his eyes which change color with his mood.
When he walks past you feel an aire of something more then a mere human. His voice is cold and monotone. He appears to be between 6'1" and 6'3", the way he walk you would not know exactly. He looks to weigh between 185 and 200 lbs. His hair is black like a starlet's feathers with an azure hue. When you ask what he is, or who he sides with he says he is whatever Aber-toril needs him to be.
When you ask him who his god is he says none, no god wants one with his condition. His loyalties sway to much for one god. It is as if the only thing he worships is Aber-toril. This man walks a path of solitude, but is known to form alliances when it meets the goals of his personal quest. The odd thing about the being called Darkfauz is this one fact, his blood is ancient.
No one knows his true age, and he does not speak it. The heritage he shares is that of the pits of the Abyss, and the plane of chaos. In his blood courses the essence of a creature of chaos. A demon from the planes of chaos given a mortal host, as time passes he loses more of his humanity, and gains a more fiendish visage. His will alone is the only thing that keeps him from giving in to the blood of his heritage. At times he will drop to his knees wracked with pain as he battles the blood of his birth. It is his quest to keep this demon trapped in his blood forever, hence why his true age cannot be gauged.
Darkfauz is the subject of a curse as well, created by the gods themselves. The curse of the Azure Bonds. The 5 symbols on his arm were created by the gods themselves some say, others say it is from a prince of hell. But it is this curse that also helps contain the fiendish heritage in this mortal form. A dezinen of chaos needs to be trapped, or the material plane will suffer.
Darkfauz does not remember his true name, but what he does remember is true names to those with fiendish blood have power, should his true name ever be discovered the demonblood he has will be able to take control of his mortal form, and in this walk the mortal plane and bring chaos. Though Darkfauz himself is not evil, he does not hesitate to commit evil in the pursuit of balance. His belief is good or evil, one must never outweigh the other. He is the warlock known only as Darkfauz

How Darkfauz was created an ooc discription.
Darkfauz my main on the server was based off an old wizard/cleric I made in an old goldbox adventure called The Curse of the Azure Bonds, a SSI video game that took place directly after the events of Pool of Radiance. He was originally named differently but the story was the same, and in that his original name is also the true name he does not know.
The ingame way to find out his true name is nothing short of visiting hell, or divine intervention. He was there when the pool was destroyed, and that is how he got his curse and heritage. With the addition of warlock in D-n-D, i decided it would be a better class for him now in lue of a multiclassed cleric/sorcerer. It fits the "cursed" existance storyline better.
He is loosely based off of the witch Carla off the anime Record of Lodoss war in the fact he only cares about the balance of the world of Aber-toril. The runes on his arm keep the fiend at bay in his blood, but Darkfauz has learned to channel that power the fiend holds hence how he is a warlock.
How I built Darkfauz:
Using human as his base, choosing warlock as his class, and giving him max charisma to start. Using the fiendish heritage feat which I think is from SoZ I selected that as his "symbiotic" fiend living in his blood. I started witht he stats 12, 14, 10, 10, 10, 18, and selecting Luck of Heroes, and fiendish heritage I was able to start the path of this character. at every 3rd level I select another feat in the fiendish heritage line. I thought about m/c into sorcerer as well, but it can wait till after I aquire Helfire Warlock prestige class. Then I may add sorcerer and lastly palemaster "i know it's bugged" but it fits his evolution. If all goes well, his story will evolve as his new powers develop. I'll keep you all posted.

The Evolution Continues
As Darkfauz has travelled a mere 10 years after the fall of the Pool of Radiance, he remembers more of who he was, Ignacious Stryfe, a mystic theuge in the service of Kossuth. Adopting his birth name, he was reunited with one of thr 6 who helped him at the pool 10 years prior, a man named Drahano, a warrior. The curse on his arm still burns, and 10 years have passed he has travelled with the Curse of the Azure bonds. Of the 6 at The Pool of Radiance, only his brother Siepher, and himself developed the curse. The spark of his memory triggered his latent magical powers...
Reclaiming some of who he was, Ignacious has taken up residence in Candlekeep after carrying the body of a burnt tiefling "witch" to it's doorsteps. There he met with master Gorion, and a was given sanctuary from the oppression of the Flaming Fist. He has regained some more of his humanity, and is able to resist the lure of his affliction, the fiendish curse that dwells in him, and manifests in the form of the azure bonds. After a paticularly deadly quest into the mines, a tragedy happened.
After a cave in caused by the Umber Hulk queen, he was trapped for 3 days with his brother. Siepher, the identical twin of Ignacious dragged his brothers body out of the refuse, to help him to the service from his near fatal wounds. Bleeding from the eyes, mouth, and arms, his brother Siepher looked over his shoulder seeing an army of bugbears bear down on him. Looking back to Ignacious he shouts, "RUN BROTHER! I'll hold them off." Crawlling up the steps, Ignacious watched his brother get cut down by the bugbears. The last to bear his family name was cut down before him, all that is left is his half-brother Drahano.
Shouting, the near dead warlock charged the bugbears, the 5 that remained, and in a flash of fire, his powers consumed them as his curse manifested a new "gift". Bloody, battered, and dying, he grabbed his brother's corpse, and carried him to the steps, and eventually out of the blasted mine. Collapsing at the mouth of the entrance, with his brother weighing him down, a being appeared to aid him, a man named Crassus. No matter how many times he tried to raise Siepher from the dead, his body would not come back. It was almost as if the frenzy, and his curse consumed him. It was as he he lost the will to live, and transfered his essence to Ignacious.
Kneeling on the ground, and punching it with his fist a new found reslove entered his blood. The flames of Kossuth finally emerged in him, and like a valcano he erupted. The only thing that kept Crassus alive was his heritage that gaurds him against fire. Fire burned in Ignacious's eyes, and a hatred for all that is goblin was born. The man who had no faith knew who had choosen him as a vessel, the lord of fire Kossuth.
Rising to his feet, his tattoos pulsed with what appeared to be magma, and the azure hue turned into a red-orange fire. As his tempered flared, he ran back into the mines, and killed any bugbear he saw. As if powered by possession. He scorched about 50 before he was sedateded, and dragged out of the mines by the priest. The goblinoids made a fatal mistake that day, they awoke Hellfire in the man known as Ignacious, and their corpses fuel his rage.
