What's the skill that Affect How much Gold you find from Gold Pile

So I noticed that my bard gets about 2x+ more gold from the same pile of gold some of my other characters get and my bard is a skill monkey of sorts. So the question is what's the skill or skills that is making my bard find my gold?

Search?
Or something else?

This is an old topic but since noone answered, here goes:


The gold piles give gold on a random base number, affected by your Appraise skill.

Exact numbers escape me, it has been almost a decade, and I have no backups or access to the script.
