Bane of Enemies and Cavestalker
I was curious and did a quick google about Bane of Enemies and the Cavestalker class and it gave mixed results. So here are my two questions.
1) Does Cavestalker stack with Ranger for granting Bane of Enemies? So, for example, would a 13ranger/8cavestalker be able to pick up the feat?, or would that build need to wait til level 29, when the ranger is 21ranger/8cavestalker to be able to grab it.
2) Do Cavestalker favored enemies not count as a favored enemy for additive damage to all favored enemies? IE for the 13ranger/8cavestalker, would the character get +3 damage against ranger favored enemies and +2 damage to cavestalker favored enemies, or would all favored enemies be at +5.

1) Not positive as my cavestalker hasnt gotten into the epics yet, but I'm going to wager that you need the 21 ranger.
2) They stack and are the same feats shared between the two classes. So it'd be +5 for all fav enemies in your example.

Re: Bane of Enemies and Cavestalker
1. 21 Ranger is needed, I don't know what happened for Rain's character but the latest feat.2da is very clear : ranger 21 is required.
2. Favored enemies feats do not behave as described completely. When you have Ranger levels (an important point for Cavalier kit) the damage bonus from Favored Enemy feats is not equal to your number of favored enemy feats as you would expect but to your ranger levels/5 + 1.
Meaning a ranger 6 / Cavestalker 3, who can have 3 different favored enemies, will still only get +2 bonus damage and not +3. However the bonuses will be applied against all three favored enemies.

Thanks for the quick turn around. The limitation on damage for FE hurts a bit, but what can you do.Valefort wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:13 pm 1. 21 Ranger is needed, I don't know what happened for Rain's character but the latest feat.2da is very clear : ranger 21 is required.

So going by this, Ranger 26/Cavestalker 4 would have 7 FE groups, with +6 bonus (to damage and skills) for all 7 of them, including eventual Bane of Enemies bonus?Valefort wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:13 pm 1. 21 Ranger is needed, I don't know what happened for Rain's character but the latest feat.2da is very clear : ranger 21 is required.

In other topic it was told that Cavestalker FE wouldn't get any aditive from Ranger's progression, only that Bane of Enemies bonus would work.
Not sure then which of these is correct?

Can you explain what you mean there more precisely ? I don't get it.In other topic it was told that Cavestalker FE wouldn't get any aditive from Ranger's progression
That is correct from what I could see today while testing. So going by this, Ranger 26/Cavestalker 4 would have 7 FE groups, with +6 bonus (to damage and skills) for all 7 of them, including eventual Bane of Enemies bonus?

Re: Bane of Enemies and Cavestalker
This effectively kills the idea of me ever using Hunter class kit which I've been trying to work into something. The loss of spells is such a big hit for ranger, that it really only makes sense if you use Hunter as a dip to get fast movement, some two-weapon feats, and 5 FEs with only a 10/11 level investment. But with 5 FEs at only a +2 or 3 bonus, straight fighter is almost always better because it opens up specialization (+2 dmg to everything) and greater focus while giving enough bonus feats to pick up the rest if you have the DEX anyway.Valefort wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:13 pm 1. 21 Ranger is needed, I don't know what happened for Rain's character but the latest feat.2da is very clear : ranger 21 is required.

Yes, there is the RP of it, which is why I want it, but mechanical viability makes the RP easier.
There a way to fix it to match with # of FE feats? Or does the team want it to stay that way?

Re: Bane of Enemies and Cavestalker
It was something unexpected for everyone, I've never thought about a fix. At first thought it would not be perfect anyway as the damage bonuses would be applied after the target is actually identified so with a one round delay.

Re: Bane of Enemies and Cavestalker
I had meant that going by this assumption, Ranger 26/Cavestalker 4 ,for instance, would get +6 bonus to 6 FE groups which were picked through Ranger, but only +1 for Cavestalker's group, i.e. the bonuses wouldn't stack. In other topic it was told that Cavestalker FE wouldn't get any aditive from Ranger's progression
