// Bregan D'aerthe has been tasked with securing a trade route between Sshamath & Rockrun. The mercenary company has employed four non-members to carry this out. This thread is for their RP
The 3rd Cycle of the 6th Turning, Progression 4228.
The Lieutenant Zhax'ar of Bregan D'aerthe hereby employs four (4) independent mercenaries to scout, secure, and guard the requested trade route between Sshamath and Rock Run.
The independent mercenaries signatures are as follows:
Plynn
Urfindur
Siobhan T'Chaine
Dhaot
Their compensation will be $25,000 each, upon the successful establishment of said trade route
Plynn casually & somewhat quietly observed the group, as they stumbled through the Underdark, killing plenty of opposing forces.
He uttered a few responses here and there.
He mostly stayed invisible, coming out when chests and bags needed to be smashed open for their contents.
The group took a portal to the passage, whilst Plynn walked up the Spire.
The Group took passage through West of Varalla's, then through the Basilisk Compound, then through the Ooze Cavern, then through the Rock Beast Ruins, their route splits off here. Three took a boat, Plynn talked to the Gnomes.
The group at large seemed to swiftly move towards taking a Boat, Plynn is under the impression one is to go by foot.
So he spoke to the Gnomes residing in Mist Lake instead, intent to pry the information from them, they said they have a Caravan to the Kobold Shrine, so he took it. From here, he simply wondered into Rockrun subsequently, by walking through the Grottoes. Nothing else to report.
By surveying the method of the Kobold Shrine, it seems inappropriate to motion through the Crag Rocks, the tight, narrow Caverns and the amount of Kobolds, Spiders & Bats flying around. As easy pests as they are to deal with, Plynn does not know how strong Rockrun Gnomes are intended to be.
Coincidentally, by the time he got there, it seemed to be at the same time the other group managed their way into Rockrun.
Upon arriving at Rockrun's Village, Siobhan was upset that Plynn did not inform them of the correct route(s) to take, as he claims to have walked on foot, allowing them to stumble about the Underdark haphazardly. Siobhan stated that they had surveyed the Boat and it was deemed appropriate travel for Caravan Guard's.
Plynn responded that the task is to go on foot, and that he shall be reporting that Siobhan's higher wisdom must clearly outrank Zhax'ar's, and strict orders of the Contract.
Plynn then decided to venture about the Rockrun Village, looking around, he found someone offering an Earth Elemental as a Servant, so he took it for 5,000.

He returned to Sshamath and looked around for anyone with Maps about the Underdark, to better study if and where Rockrun can be approached on foot.

With a sigh the drow warrior finishes pinning up his cloak over the small alcove he found near Rockrun. Invisible, at least to infravision, and for the first time in a while quiet. Lighting a tiny candle, the drow pulls out parchment and ink, writing a small detailed report that will eventually make its way back to his employer.
The journey began just as well as one were to expect when three unknown drow and a devil-blooded woman are thrust into company together. We hardly made it out of the city before there was some confusion of where we were going and who was going to be leading us.
Though I find myself comforted in by the familiarity of the tunneled wilderness, my recent arrival in the region means I had no idea where this Rockrun was. I allowed the locals to guide us on the trek, which eventually ended in a schism. The loudmouthed brat slipped away at some point before we reached Mist Lake. I do not know if our employer intends the final path to include boat travel, but with my ignorance of the location of our final destination I saw no other option but to follow my other companions.
We made it to Rockrun after a bit of trouble with some pests. It seems our lost friend managed to find a different route to Rockrun. There was bickering, as to be expected, but I am contented for the moment.
Now that I know the location of both the start and end destinations, I can begin scouting out the surrounding caverns to find the best path forward, on foot or by boat.
