The Vanguard went on patrol and there was not much that occurred that was noteworthy, afterwards V'et and I spoke on his direction of life within the Art. As he did not with to Divine horror anymore or gather strength from Blood Art methods..which I am thankful for that he wishes to. But unfortunately we did not get to delve much further into it as Michael came running down the road out of breath. He informed that there is coin on his head and possibly all of the Whitewood Vanguard's, news that does not sit well with me to be sure. A man who heads the Ebon Blade by name of Griel ordered the attack on him done by another hand of his own, Tytos. Michael believes it to be paid by Zhentarim to do so but we do not know who is behind it in certainty, before more was said we, at my suggestion, moved to speak more upon it the interior of the Radiant Heart offered by those of their own. Much was spoken of within and details of what occurred within the Ebon Blade can be found in Michael's report. With all this we all of the Vanguard are not to travel alone in caution as we do not know who wishes Michael's head or all of ours. I do not trust the words that were given to Michael by his former Captain, he states that he did not do it for Zhentarim Coin but for another matter or by another. It seems it may have been multiple entities who decided on doing this and the Ebon carried it out at the behest of those or majority of, as supposedly this Captain was against. He also stated to Michael there was no money or pleasure, and that he would not try again. Others may and that we should avoid traveling in the North. This could involve the Zhentarim, Batibat, Blackroses, and or a Morgan, or those we do not yet know of...which is disconcerting. V'et during this brought up our sighting of a Tiefling Valkira who has been in contact with Batibat.
With all this I have made a listing of possible threats to us that I will have to keep up to date and hope others will assist in knowledge as well..with all this they brought up Ernest as well as possibly he may have a hand in it but contact was not wished and I have not seen or heard from him in some time. It seems as well that Michael's title of Captain had somehow been given to Griel's ears but it is unknown who and Michael is certain he had not given it. Soon enough Aaron arrived towards the ending of our discussion on the whole of the matter, it was believed Tashia and Vanira would fill in Aaron as we all departed, though Jillian may have departed with a small trinket she had shown me a small figurine. To settle the nerves a bit after we decided to see to some training for the Vanguard, but before setting off Drego had informed that a Tiefling female had heard of the price on our heads already, one to keep an eye on. Eventually we set off and again little to make note of that occurred on our travel, other than our crossing of a number of Blackroses who gathered outside their tent and near unfinished or ruined building, faces to remember. At some point during our venture we came upon Sean of the House of Radiant, and on our arrival to Soubar he had moved to Aaron's side who had been on his own where a few of the Blackroses were encountered again and we set off once more with Sean and Aaron. Not much more to note on this continued venture.
Oh these thoughts of mine are everywhere...hopefully in later days I can understand my own writing by the Seldarine...but also this day after a meeting between V'et, Michael, and another. V'et suggested going to Ulgoth's and on the way there we came across Drego who had given me a useful item to which I am grateful while V'et had gone off to find Jillian I believe...in animal guise with incorrect sounds from them also amusing as it was. V'et and I headed on our way to Ulgoth's as Drego returned to the City. We spoke of wanting to deter one another from the Blood Art we both have delved into each other wanting to convince the other to step away. Though each of us drawn to it in our own need or desire...but I am trying I know I can be without. One purpose I had was because of what had happened with Amicia but as he does..well perhaps he can help with this as well, with further discussion and just more questions we finally retired and I found my reverie.
