Deleveling!

I was just wondering, is there any way I can de-level myself by just one level?


I seem to have accidentally chosen an incorrect Feat (didn't realize you can get two feats in one level up!), and I don't really want to de-level myself back to 15 since it will take me a year to get back to this level again

Hello, I'm afraid you'll have to ask a DM for that. You can also use the RCR but you might lose more exp that way.

Ok thanks for your help! (Yeah I RCR'd last time, it's taken me ~5 months to get back to epic level, not sure I wanna do that just for a single feat)

DMs are usually more than willing to take xp from someone, and sometimes give it back

but there will never be a way to manually delevel because of all the exploits that can come from it

The "exploits" can mostly come from arcane classes, correct? As in, they can take extra spells that they otherwise would not be able to take.

Nah I'm a Ranger so I don't think there are any exploits. I don't mind gaining back one level's worth of XP. Ok! I shall try and find a DM in game, thanks!

The ones I remember are Wizard (learns 2 spells each level), Blood Magus (gets CON boost) and Dragon Disciple (gets STR, CON, INT and CHA boosts).

just do the math and get deleveled 1xp below leveling then step on a bug

stat bonuses dont break so the last two arent issues, the spellbook doesnt take away anything tho which is why wizards typically never get deleveled

the wizard one is pretty well known so it hardly matters on mentioning it, the others arent worth detailing because there is rcr that the DMs prefer people using vs deleveling, but if they say they wont delevel you then there might be an issue, but aside from wizard most other ones require going down several levels anyway

but thats one of the reasons rcr is free below lvl 10

I feel like RCR should be free up to level 20. It's so easy to make mistakes (picking skills that have literally no use in game/are broken, picking a feat that can't be used by your character etc), and fixing it wastes DM time.
