Trolls sight

It maybe just evidence that the Northern Trolls have been eating odd mushrooms, but they certainly seem to be attacking non-existant things inside their caves. They will pound their fists into thin air and talk to such imaginary prey.
Meanwhile, outside they are throwing rocks at Ethereal beings with an accomplished aim that reaches across the planes... so maybe there really are beings in strange dimensions within their caves?
