I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but has anyone experienced consistent black screen that randomly occurs while playing the server? It's the only game I play that has this issue.
I run Windows 10.
Thanks!

Re: Black Screen Bug
Yes, I had this problem after moving from my laptop to a new desktop system. It was frustrating enough to make me give up on playing here for some time. I went through a lot of pains trying to fix it, and replaced a lot of parts in my computer in vain. In the end I discovered it was the graphics card that was the problem. I fixed the issue permanently by removing the graphics card and running off of the built in graphics of my computer instead.

Re: Black Screen Bug
I had this issue for awhile, too. NWN2 is poorly optimized and can sometimes overheat more advanced cards, causing the driver to crash. This causes a black screen, sometimes freezing the game and crashing or requiring being reset.
If you use MSI Afterburner, remove any overclocking of your card. You may also need to lower Core Clock to -100 and Memory Clock to -100. (I had to do this to fix crashing issues in another game, but it has helped admirably with NWN2 as well so far.)
You can also try opening your nwn2.ini file in your Nvidia control panel (or AMD equivalent), go to Manage 3D Settings, Program Settings, add your NWN2 executable (or ClientExtender executable, nwlauncher.exe, if you use that) and set Max Frame Rate to 60.

I have this problem too, which seems to becaused by tabbing out and back in, but I'll be damned if I'm going to throw away my new GPU because of NwN2 lol.

Re: Black Screen Bug
Run the game in windowed mode. Should solve the issues. Makes it easier to use the client extender to its fullest too.
