Melissar is seen speaking with Brother Khalso most of the day on 8 kythorn, seemingly about her own past deeds and life in an amicable way, after this, she spends the rest of the day at the infirmary, tending to the sick and wounded.

Melissar is seen visiting the temple again after returning from Nashkel for a few days, she is seen happy, helping out with chores at the temple tending to wounded and cleaning the clinic area. At the end of the day, she prays at the altar for a few hours.

The children in the orphanage of the church of Ilmater had been busy braiding flower crowns for a charity event that had been planned for the last several tendays between Sister Cecilia and members from the Haukseworth Trade Consortium. She had departed with three wicker baskets to deliver them to the sale hosted at Evie Winters farmhouse, and returned to anticipate the result alongside others there.

It was a long and festive summer day, the warm summer breeze blowing the aroma of the tall grass among those that came to play their part. (( viewtopic.php?f=17&t=72511&p=888259#p888259 ))

Under the velvet midnight sky two individuals made way into Baldurs Gate, their steps falling lightly over the rained on path toward its gate. They looked exhausted, but their moods were elated by what news they had come to share. Donations to the staggering sum of 315.000 gold pieces were passed over to staff there alongside a list of donators.

Before departing they told them that despite the many donations, there were still several flower crowns left over, and would leave them with the staff there to do with as they please. (( Anyone who plays within the Ilmatery just give us a nudge, and the crowns can be bartered over for your use if you want to play around with them. The feather crowns only work on male characters, and the low and high hanging crowns work only for female characters. ))

A blonde man is seen delivering the usual shipment of food and clothing to the Sanctuary. In addition to the usual fish, there appears to be a stew cooked slowly from freshly hunted meat, as well as some garments of freshly tanned leather and wolf hides.

A note is left for the caretakers.

The additional provisions were donated by a miss Thelaba, from creatures she hunted and wished provided to support the orphans. I know the children like knowing the names of those who offer them help, so please see to it they learn of her contribution. Any reminders to them of the kindness others have for them in the world is welcomed.

After delivering the food and supplies, he sits to watch at the sanctuary a bit while the supplies are distributed amongst the residents, before he moves outside, his expression going serious as he takes up a sentry post in the street not far away, standing watch overnight for threats unknown.

A sealed parchment arrives at the Ilmater Orphanage addressed to Melissar and Nathan Goldenmane

After being followed by a shadow along the rooftops, Aaron Lyonaler gathered Osric, Rellon, and others of House Vale, to look in to it. Shortly after howls are heard in the city, leading them to an orphan child covered in blood and cowering in an alley. A dark shadow lurking near to the boy. After a plan is put together, Osric employed a light spell to try to distract the wolf, while Aaron dived to cover the boy from harm. After a quick bout, which mostly involved Aaron receiving several slashes as he dove past, the Werewolf fled. Others soon joined the group.

House Vale members left to inform the Flaming Fist and City Watch of the occurrence, while Aaron, Oth and Jassin remained to see to the frightened boy. Discovering that the blood did not appear to be his, Aaron asked if the boy could show them where the blood came from. The group was lead down the alley to find a murdered City Watchmen, that seems to have fallen trying to keep the werewolf from getting near to the orphanage. After advising the Caretaker Sylvi to keep the children inside and the doors closed and locked, the child was taken back inside.

The Grand Knight can be seen posting guard at the door to the Orphanage at night. When he is not able, two Men at Arms from the Radiant Heart Keep are dispatched to keep watch.

Nathan's usual guard posting at the Orphanage is increased in recent days after hearing about what happened. He makes sure in his rounds to check personally on the child that was found bloodied, keeping close watch over him, but mostly doing small kindnesses in playing games, telling stories, anything else he can manage in an effort to distract the child from what he'd witnessed.

Upon leaving his post mid-morning, he also carries a letter destined for Netanya.

On the morning of the 26th of Flamerule, a young woman dressed in blue can be seen circling the orphanage, seemingly sprinkling something all around it from a glass vial, creating a circle around its perimeter.

Anyone with sufficient knowledge of herbalism or alchemy can immediately discern that the substance is a concentrated alchemical extract of wolfsbane.

When she is done she heads inside for a while before heading off, thanking the current guards stationed there for their time and the protection they are offering to the children there.

The atmosphere inside the Ilmateri sanctuary is a somber one, the air tense with sorrow over some unspoken happening. The blonde temple guardian stands at his post, trying his best to maintain a stoic expression, eyes red and puffy and tears staining his cheeks throughout the entirety of his watch.

At the coaxing of Sister Karin, he sits to have a small meal, looking at some carved wooden trinket he carries with a blank expression. After finishing his meal he moves to the chapel and closes the door, and the silence in the air is broken by sobbing.

Eventually he returns to his post.

On the night of the 26th of Eleasis, a brunette in dark red and black gear could be found playing with some street urchins who'd been tossed into the temple for safe keeping during the vampire scare. She was seen making silly faces, playing games with them, and teaching them to make lemonade. She got some smiles and giggles from the children and seemed delighted to be spending time with them and able to ease some of their fear, even if for a short while.

Others joined her and talk turned to spiders and how they're helpful. She reminded the children that little beings can grow up to do amazing things. She helped them clean up and made sure they thanked the sisters at the temple before she left them there to rest. She was seen leaving with a small group of adults, a wide smile on her face.

The blonde temple Guardian and a quiet flaxen-haired Sister in gray robes were seen not far from the Orphanage, standing watch and having a conversation with two men - one enormous and silent, in a suit of armor, and one in leathers with hunter's equipment.

The Guardian and the hunter exchanged words and seemed to come to some sort of agreement before parting ways.

The pair of the Broken God's faithful return to his temple shortly after.

4th of Eleint, 1356 DR

A red-headed man arrives late in the night at the Church of Ilmater. Slung across his shoulders is a highly emancipated body, which upon closer inspection seem to have had all blood drained from its veins. The work of vampires, given the two puncture marks on the body's neck.

He addresses Khalso just inside, asking that they attempt to identify the corpse, and notify any next-of-kin. The corpse, he explains, was found just north of the Friendly Arm Inn, yet seemed to have travelled from Baldur's Gate.

The blonde temple Guardian and a quiet, flaxen-haired Sister tended to a lifeless corpse together, united in vigilance and prayer. It is said at least one other body was brought to the temple, before being taken back to the village it was taken from, as well.

During the cold night of Eleint, some children and orphans have been taken to the Orphanage of Baldur's Gate. Caretakers of Ilmater endeavored to close the heavy doors to leave the agitation outside. Bathed with candlelights, the youngsters' attentions have been drawn by a myriad of stories and tales. Some even say they have seen marvelous animals coming to life with hand shadows. Words and whispers colored the atmosphere with joy, hope and cheerful performances. The peaceful shelter did not seem to be invaded by fear or worries. Nathan Goldenmane, Guardian of the Sanctuary, has been spotted entering and leaving soon after. Behind the door, a blond caretaker has been seen whispering prayers as he left, a sleeping boy in her arms.

The Shrine of Suffering, within the Chapel of Ilmater, has been visited many times lately. Corpses have been bathed with holy water, whispered prayers echoed for several hours, and many rites were performed. With the dignity of the lifeless bodies restored, families and loved ones came to mourn the deads. Brothers and Sisters of Faith have been seen sharing meals and words to support them. It is rumored that the dead should be burried.

Another chill night, unnaturally still and silent gripped the city. The blonde guardian rushed to secure the orphanage and temple before heading out into the night.

As dawn breaks, he returns to silently pray to himself. Despite his bloodied injuries and rumors of another night of terrorized citizens, the man's face is not flooded with the melancholy that typically fills it after these darkest of nights. There is resolve there, determination, and focus.
