Rumors & Events of Soubar

A long, drawn out battle resounded near the Boareskyr Bridge between a lithe figure and a hulking, bear-like beast, in the middle of the night. Blood, tufts of fur and wooden shards are found chaotically spread around the old watchtower.

A shirtless man, bloodied by dozens of cuts and scratches and heavily bruised, later stumbled inside Soubar's limits. He warned another traveler to avoid the road and spoke of vampires, then left the other way, hoping to avoid another fight.

With the Recent vampire attack and the people going missing the "Blackrose Soldiers" are put on high alert in "Soubar." A handful of clerics were called into "Soubar" from their Outpost on the "Northern Tradeway" to help with the situation. They would work in conjunction with the "Soubarian Militia" in order to protect the locals of "Soubar" as best they can.

A few days have passed but rumor's could be heard that there was a lengthy discussion between "Mag the tavern Owner" and the "Matriarch of House Blackrose Amelia". Patrons of the tavern could hear talks of the future of "Soubar" and laws being establish in a town that held a delicate sense of law and order.
It was over heard that "Mag" has give "Amelia" leave to write up a draft of laws for "Soubar" to be revised between them on a later date. It would also be heard that a great amount of lumber was to be delivered to "Mag" in order to fix up her roof to her liking and to build gates for the tent town.

"I'll give permission for you to govern the laws directly around your own place" a line from "Mag" that particularly stood out.

The respect between the two could be seen as they parted ways though likely this was just the beginning of a wave of developments that were coming to "Soubar"

Of the current garrison of "Blackrose Soldiers" in "Soubar", half their number could be seen moving out of the east gate towards the "Northern Outpost."
Rumor's would have it that with most of their soldiers engaged in "Thundar's Ride" the additional soldiers were needed to protect their interest and the many people who live at the "Northern Outpost"

A representative of House Blackrose could be seen talking with the Merchant Priya with bundles and Bundles of wolf pelts at his feet.
Rumor is that House Blackrose has made a deal with her to get them tailored into cloaks and then distribute them among the residents of Soubar before the first snow is set to fall.

Two Wagons pulled by heavy horse would make their way into "Soubar" under the guard of "Blackrose soldiers". the wagons would be parked near the "Ebon Blade" fort and would be kept under a light guard. Rumors have it that they are waiting for a buyer to pick up the Lumber.

The grounds of Soubar are abuzz with activity, what was once a quiet project contained under the ground of Soubar has started to show itself above grounds. Engineers have begun what appears to be a project building something within the small pond within the walls of the settlement. Temporary water-tight walls have been built within the pond and the water pumped out from within, a workspace to for more establishing more permanent walls for whatever is being built.

On the first of Uktar, all the most vile miscreants of the Coast will assemble at Darkhold for an unholy masquerade.

Join us for an open market, accompanied by song and dance, while a secret murderer runs loose through the keep -- leaving a trail of bodies and only a handful of clues. It will be up to the guests to solve this mystery before it's too late, lest the murderer direct his sights on them as well.

At the 2nd Candlemark, guests will be invited to attend an open stage, where the most macabre of tales and jokes shall be shared -- accompanied only by hideous laughter.

And at the 3rd Candlemark of the ball, a costume contest will be held -- with three judges selected from the audience at random. Which ghastly costume will inspire the most delight? Come and find out...

All guests will be inspected at the Main Gate. No weapons, poisons, or explosives will be allowed inside. Any confiscated weaponry or items will be returned to you when you leave.

If you are interested in hosting a stall at the open market, contact Dreadlord Victoria Thornhart immediately. Include which organization you will be representing and what wares you intend to sell.

The Murder Mystery is just for fun and games -- in other words, pretend. Dreadlord Thornhart will tolerate no violence inside Darkhold or attempted murder. The safety of all guests will be ensured on this evening.

The entry fee for the costume contest will be 1,000 coins. The three judges will be paid 5,000 coins each for their services.

Cinnamon has been seen requesting the services of a Talona Follower, Mykrul Follower or Jergalite, if they should step forward, Cinnamon can be found at Candlekeep over the next Tensday, and urges you to come with haste, and will pay your appropriate fees, from one Cleric to another.

Even though the visual construction on the exterior of Soubar only begun a short time ago, it is clear Banites are brutally efficient at making sure their laborers get their work done in a timely matter. Stone bricks getting stacked up into the sky as a large bell tower is seen to be sticking out of the pond of Soubar. Some bits of scaffolding around the edges of the tower remain as a large banner is unfurled hanging off the side of the tower, a banner showing the four holy symbols of the gods represented within the halls below.

A broad shouldered dwarf is seen sitting and drawing the new Banite temple at Soubar. Folding the paper and glares a final time before depart towards Boaresky bridge.

With the completion of the "Black Abbey," the "Blackrose Soldiers" are pulled out of the now fully resorted temple with their contract being completed and return to their guard duties around "Soubar's" commerce area's.

Today the woman known at the "Matriarch of House Blackrose, Amelia Blackrose" could be seen entering the "Winding Way Tavern" with a sealed scroll in hand accompanied by her elite guards. She would speak with the tavern owner "Mag" as she passed the scroll over to her. Nearby patrons could hear the mention of "Law's of Soubar."
After a lengthy discussion she would leave, the outcome of the conversation not known.

She Whom Coined Idealistic Petrification

Many begun to spun tale of a strange Girl, who was accompanied by three mercenaries and two Monsterous Humanoids, notably a Night Shade Lizardkin and Bugbear, as she began downscaling statues, they seemed almost too real and she was noted as extremely overjoyed to see the Craftmanship of such.

The talks noted a Kobold, Giant Gnoll and Gigantuan Rhinosaurous Beast, were carried to Soubar and exchanged to this mad Woman, only for her to make them Statuettes, subsequently handing them over to her Bugbear.

A grim Tale indeed.

Those who had heard of Cinnamon's petrification jobs for hire in the past, would likely correlate the prior and current incidents as one and the same.

What could she possibly be up too?
