FAI Merchant took a hike!
Looks like the merchant at the FAI went on vacation after the latest update. Doubt it was intentional. Maybe he caught Covid and needs to take a few days off.

in baldur's gate proper, all exterior npcs are missing with current update, while all interior npcs seem to be intact

Naw, we had the Rona on the server a few years ago. Most of the Necromancers are dead dead.
If the text is this color, I am on duty, everything else is just my humble opinion.
