appearance: His skin is very dark-brown. He has brown hair and a scar across his left face. He wears mithril chain and a longbow.

personality: Vidarr has become grim company. Although he has a charismatic presence, he does not seem approachable.

Vidarr Willow grew up a street urchin in Elihrondas, the Illumian city on the plane of shadow. He was taken in by Seiryu, a moon elf Olin Gisir who felt a kinship with Vidarr since he was one of the few elves there. Seiryu taught some magical words of power. After learning some secrets from Seiryu, Vidarr became interested in his past and came to Faerun. He travelled widely and trained as a ranger, becoming an excellent archer. After some travels he met his mother who turned out to be half-wood-elf and half-drow. She tried to tempt him to worship Shar and learn certain dark secrets about magic. He refused and escaped, but was scarred on the face by some kind of shadow creature. He decided to worship Vandria Gilmadrith, partly because of his new understanding of his heritage and his profound desire to stop his mother. He still doesn't know who his father was.

Vidarr looks at the poem Seiryu gave him at their parting, puzzling over it.

"Who with his weighty sole
stops the wolf's jaws from eating
And the bitter song from his sword of lies
Ceases sun-eater at the end of days
Vidarr who lives forever in the temple of his Father
The silent one, the reliable one, who slays thirst without mead
Aid him though he needs no aid
For he avenges his Father for all time."
