Anointed Knight/Warrior Of Darkness
Those two classes... they got a serious kick in the face of their abilities.
They have lost: Spell Resistance, a lot of damage on combat oils, vampiric oils and 1-2 bonus feats. I think it's too much, I'd suggest making their oils do 1d4 at level 4 then get that bump at level 10 to 1d6. Furthermore level 10 of that class should grant them access to Vamp Regen (1... 2, just *some*).
That, or get their extra feats back.
While on the subject, merging the two classes into one without the alignment requirement (like such was done a while ago with Avenger/Assassin) wouldn't go amiss, kinda strange alchemical rituals and oils are locked behind alignments.

Re: Anointed Knight/Warrior Of Darkness
If anything, oils should at least last longer, 10 minutes duration with 10 minute cooldown is extremely annoying, I don't see a reason behind this nerf. Totally support giving them more features on late levels, they're mostly picked as a 4 level dip for various builds.

Re: Anointed Knight/Warrior Of Darkness
Another server I played had the oil last forever, and you could switch on the go, it gave interesting flexibility to the class, where you could adapt against different enemies, or switch from Vampiric to extra damage depending on the threats you encountered. I think there's a lot that can be done without just slapping SR back on the class (which, from what I understood, was the big thing about the class, so not sure why they were further slapped down)

Dragon Warrior already has perma "oil" (elemental weapon). There's precedent, and nobody abused Dragon Warrior for that.Bobthehero wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 1:08 pm Another server I played had the oil last forever, and you could switch on the go, it gave interesting flexibility to the class, where you could adapt against different enemies, or switch from Vampiric to extra damage depending on the threats you encountered. I did on mine, back then, having a reliable source of acid damage was reassuring, back then. Then I discovered the fact it made him fear immune, fitted well with the PC

The AK/WoD was castrated on BG, and I don't know the reasoning for it. They should get their SR and all those other goodies back. I don't understand why people get all mad about the prospect of this PrC getting its SR teeth back.
And I agree that using alchemical component's on one's blade has nothing to do with alignment, it should be open to neutral characters.

Re: Anointed Knight/Warrior Of Darkness
The oil weapon buff could definitely use some quality of life improvements. I'd like to see that happen
On the other hand the two PRCs are among the strongest on the server to add to a number of existing base classes.
Low qualifications to unlock costing a single save feat and very low skill investment.
10hp/level
High BAB
High saves Fort & Will
Profs: All weapons and armor except exotic weapons and including tower shield
Access to Tumble for more AC
Skill points 4/level
7 feats in 10 levels.

2 bonus and the 3 given by the class, unless you pin class features as feats. Either way, BG removed some bonus feats.

Re: Anointed Knight/Warrior Of Darkness
I would definetly like to see some improvements as well. Getting the oil down to a simple 1 damage up until level 10 is pretty harsh.
Would also like to get rid of the "spell" animation and chant when applying an oil, since it's a purely alchemical thing.
It looks a lot better if it just went "poof" whilst also adding more room for RP opportunities.

This class is fine, but of course if you been playing a version of this class without the nerfs, you will find it unbalanced, but it is not.
Compare the class to the other PRCs available, not to how it was pre nerfs.

Martials in general lag behind casters, druids that turn into dragons, and STR bards. Maybe other archetypes too.
They need a boost.
Make martials great again

I already complained about this and got a warned for saying that this class need some love.Bobthehero wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 3:29 am Those two classes... they got a serious kick in the face of their abilities.
