Pretty straightforward.
Archmage abilities are true spell-like abilities. Which means they should eschew materials.
I know Teleport doesn't have a material component in PnP, but, I feel like removing the material component from an Archmage's Teleportation SLA's would actually make these SLA's worth taking, and considering at most would be 3x a day I hardly consider them abusable.
Thoughts?

or the teleport cost is the problem here. it's all subjective

For me, when you have to run 10 mins between cities is the most immersive, but I can see how that isn't everyone's idea of fun. It would suck if you could only squeeze in 20 mins to play and your friends were on the other side of Faerun.
If there were no caravans and the distances were indeed greater then the cost of Teleport might be justifiable.
So I support this suggestion AND the removal of cost for all teleportation
