Summoned creatures stats (with and without Spell foci)
Hello there. I used some of my time to summon and check all the groups of Summon I-IX creatures and also wrote down their most essential stats.
I will put it to wiki eventually (when i figure out wiki formatting for tables), but it's already available for view here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Please note, "Gate" spell part is not finished yet, but the numbers that are filled in, are quite accurate.
There may be some small inaccurate numbers as resummoning every type of creature is a tedious process. I used some math to calculate some of SF 4-5 HP, so there may be fluctuations since some summons don't really follow the HP increase linear progression too strictly. Even with that, it shouldn't be more that 30 hp difference with real values, so it is still a thing to refer to.
Basically, after looking into finished table, i can say that it's not that profitable to get Epic Spell Focus Conjuration, since Augment Summoning gives +4 CON and +4 STR while it stacks with all CON and STR buffs you put on your beloved summons. So, in general, it's more useful to get it instead of wasting epic feat.
Updates:
18.06.2021 - Added Planar creatures and Summon Creature N BAB.
27.02.2021 - Added miscellaneous summons:
Conjure shadows, Sand warriors, Bigby's fantastic fencer, Call shadow pack, Call elementals, Conjure animals, Conjure spiders, Airball, Conjure metalmen, Lure shadow demons, Hovering skull.
24.02.2021 - It's been quite a time since previous update. Thanks Rhifox for pushing me to add more stats. "Animate dead/create undead/create greater undead/army of death" stats added.
06.02.2021 - Finished all stats for lesser/regular/greater planar binding.
05.02.2021 - Added Planars section, 0 SF stats of all lesser/regular/greater planar added, Gate spell added SF 0-5.
04.02.2021 - initial publish, summon I-IX stats SF 0-5

Re: Summon creature I-IX stats
Awesome work!
Just a small request, for those of us not in the know:
Can we have the explanation for the different SF's listed in the document?
SF 1 and 2 are most likely Spell Focus, and improved Spell Focus. But then it jumps to SF 4, skipping 3. What is SF 4 in this context? And how is there a SF 5, if 4 is Epic?
Please add those to the document, so it can be passed around, without needing to refer to this post too (which I am sure it will be).
As I said though, awesome work!

SF1 = Spell Focus
SF2 = Greater Spell Focus
SF3+SF4 = Epic Spell Focus (spell focus gives 2 HD)
SF5 = Red Wizard Specialist
Technically you could have SF3 by itself for a Red Wizard Conjurer with only Greater Spell Focus. But that's such a niche thing that there isn't really a need to add additional work.

Thanks for good suggestion. Added notes about Spell Foci to make sure table is self-explanatory.zhazz wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:52 pm Awesome work!

Well, if one was to go Conjuration, it would be strange to not go Thaumaturge, pick up Augment Summoning, AND still take ESF Conjuration for more HP and more BAB (at least, 2 Levels should equal +2 BAB, if such a Summons has High BAB rating).EasternCheesE wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 4:57 pm Basically, after looking into finished table, i can say that it's not that profitable to get Epic Spell Focus Conjuration, since Augment Summoning gives +4 CON and +4 STR while it stacks with all CON and STR buffs you put on your beloved summons. Re: Summon creature I-IX stats
Sorry if this is a moronic question by why is it pointless to take Epic Spell Focus if you already took Augment Summoning? They don't stack?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Summon creature I-IX stats
They stack. As Steve marked it, with Thaumaturge you can get both and then you get +4 STR and CON over your higher AB/HP summons.
The conclusion is that if we have to choose between Epic spell focus and Augment summoning (say, you have 1 spare feat only), augment summoning will give more advantave in general, since not all the summons have high BAB.

Re: Summon creature I-IX stats
I'd say it's still questionnable since with summon creature IX, you get 1 additional AB for your summon and 2 HD of HP. Using an epic feat for such a summon improvement? I find the increase being laughable to use an epic feat that can be used for something else, like epic spell penetration.Steve wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 8:34 amWell, if one was to go Conjuration, it would be strange to not go Thaumaturge, pick up Augment Summoning, AND still take ESF Conjuration for more HP and more BAB (at least, 2 Levels should equal +2 BAB, if such a Summons has High BAB rating).EasternCheesE wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 4:57 pm Basically, after looking into finished table, i can say that it's not that profitable to get Epic Spell Focus Conjuration, since Augment Summoning gives +4 CON and +4 STR while it stacks with all CON and STR buffs you put on your beloved summons. Even with Gate, it's just +2 AB and 2hd HP for epic feat. For multiclass builds, epic feats are in tight quantity already.
There is one thing to justify ESF conjuration in my view: summons will have higher CL, which is good

Re: Summon creature I-IX stats
Well, it can take TWO epic feats (STR +1 and STR +2 for example) in order to get another AB point. Epic Prowess is only +1 AB.
Look, imho, when building, even a single point can have large affect. Seriously, the difference between having AC 53 or 54 is huge, in my experience. It literally can mean the difference between soloing an Epic Boss, or not.
As for summons, I think Level also improves Saving Throws?? So one Epic Feat grants THREE improvements! That ain’t bad at all.
But I can see where in some builds one may be put to a choice, and I guess choosing Augment over ESF has merit. I myself would just build to NOT have to make that choice!!

Re: Summoned creatures stats (with and without Spell foci)
So, i finally recollected NwN2 uses math and modifiers and feats to calculate stats, so, instead of checking summons one by one (but there was still lots of that too), i started to calculate that HP/AB.
lesser/regular/greater planar binding section is finished now.
Fun fact, but Juvenile Nabassu from lesser planar binding is lvl 10 (should be 8/9/10 with foci) until Epic Spell Focus Conjuration.

Added stats for "Animate dead, create undead, create greater undead, army of death".
They are really weird and, imo, require a detailed look since spell focus feats work strange with "animate dead" and "army of death".
You can find their stats in the same table from the first post.
