Discussion: Shadow Summons
I'm by no means a lore expert so feel free to put me in my place. Should a Shadow Adept (or focus in illusion) receive a bonus to shadow-based summons? I feel like a "shadow conjurer" could be an interesting build/character.

Shadow Adept doesn't really need more going for it.
And calling shadows is conjuration, so spell focus illusion wouldn't really affect it. You can certainly play a shadow summoner with a conjuration-focused build, though. Could even double up on shadow magic and take spell focuses for both conjuration and illusion.

Re: Discussion: Shadow Summons
Illusionist making use of shadow magic or mages with access to the shadow weave don't raally get any bonus while summoning shadowy creatures from the plane of shadows, at least not lore wise. A mage may feel an affinity with beings from the shadow plane but the spell remains the same and its still a calling/summoning just as any other mage would cast it.
