Re: Sorcerer Changes
This is what makes up for a lot of the Sorcerer inflexibility in PnP.
Limited Wish (Sor/Wiz 7)
A limited wish can do any of the following things:
Of course it costs 300xp to cast, but for level 30's that wouldn't be prohibitive.
Probably way too much work to make though. Drop down list with 100+ options...
Limited Wish (Sor/Wiz 7)
A limited wish can do any of the following things:
- Duplicate any sorcerer/wizard spell of 6th level or lower, provided the spell is not of a school prohibited to you.
- Duplicate any other spell of 5th level or lower, provided the spell is not of a school prohibited to you.
- Duplicate any sorcerer/wizard spell of 5th level or lower, even if it’s of a prohibited school.
- Duplicate any other spell of 4th level or lower, even if it’s of a prohibited school.

Re: Sorcerer Changes
Wouldn't that possibly allow wizards/sorcs to get their hands of divine spells too? Since it's "any other spell".

Re: Sorcerer Changes
Yes, though in P&P, Divine casters had Miracle which did the same thing in the opposite direction [link](Any 8th level cleric or domain spell or any 7th or lower spell).
In NWN2, it's incredibly complicated to implement, with spells that technically already do such effects (like Shades or Shadow Conjuration) are reduced to radial effects anyway, rather than "Choose any valid button".

Re: Sorcerer Changes
Can't any Tom, (person) and Harry already cast any 9th level cleric and wizard spells, and still have +29 base attack bonus with just 32 ranks in UMD (3+ levels in Rogue/Bard)?EasternCheesE wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 7:18 pm Wouldn't that possibly allow wizards/sorcs to get their hands of divine spells too? They could use their 7th level spell slots to hold 5th level priest spells....not super OP, since they have to give up their 7th level spells and also pay an XP cost. "But they could make wands!" Right, but so can a Fighter with UMD apparently.

Re: Sorcerer Changes
I am more worried about arcane casters being able to cast magic vestment for 5 shield AC, deathward and also turtoise shell etc which would allow one to buff with best possible magic wards. Which would make spellcasters even more superior to non-casters.

Re: Sorcerer Changes
It's a bit irrelevant. It's not possible to make.

As a point of reference, what is the reach of the Whips?

Lotrik: Not a wise Genasi, probably stronger than you tho, a master of longswords. Fully retired

Re: Coming Soon: Shortspears and Polearm Reach
No. I don't know what that is referring to. Weapon ranges in NWN2 are given in meters, and the values do not match what is listed on that page.Theodore01 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:15 pm Now I'm confused - is this table correct?
