Intuitive Attack and Monk Weapons?

Unread post by Wyatt »

Is intuitive attack no longer working with monk weapons? I recently purchased a cold iron staff so I can actually dmg all the demons in the event and my AB drops by about 15 when I wield it. I thought intuitive attack was supposed to work with kama/qstaff? If not, is there any other alternative for a monk to actually bypass DR?

Pretty sure this was fixed a few years ago. Is it possible that when the dmg got changed on quarterstaffs that it undid something in the code regarding intuitive attack?

Edit: Nevermind. Applies to kama's too and they weren't changed.

I just check my monk with intuitive strike that uses gloves normally. I use qstaff and kama and both work as should applying wisdom mod. You sure you have correct monk levels over others in ratio 2/3?

I have tested repeatedly and I go from 35 AB to 25 AB when I used a qstaff or kama. If monk levels were the issue it would affect all my attacks not only the weapon attacks, no?

Ahh, never mind. I think I figured it out. I forgot that sacred fist gives you a huge attack bonus penalty if you wield a weapon. Guess I will have to rebuild this character if I want to actually be able to bypass DR.

It doesn't work with surikens, though. Wish it did.

Those are ranged weapons, and thus use the Zen Archery feat instead.

Yeah if you get gloves that do damage vs. evil or vs. chaos it SHOULD thug right through demon DR and Vs. evil or vs. law should thug through devil DR.

In theory.
