A Voice Through the Trees ((Calling all druids and nature nerds!))

Unread post by LivT »

Iolanna reached out and placed her palm on the gnarled oak, the carved runes gleaming under the touch. She didn't vanish into the bark this time, though; the druidess closed her eyes, felt the pathways from the plant into every other tree and shrub, stretching near infinite in all directions. she took a steadying breath, and spoke softly in the Sacred Language.

"Sisters and Brothers; many of you may know me already, and I extend these words to those who don't. A time has come to gather, to prepare for the dangers that are on our horizon. This is no command; there is no exclusion, no differentiating between Factions and Circles and Faiths. We are myriad in differences, but all druids ultimately walk the same path, and respond to the same duties.

I ask simply this; to gather. To meet, to know our immediate kin, so that we may all know who to call on when threats rise once again. We have much to tell you all and much to discuss; I have no doubt you all do too.

I hope to greet you all at the Standing Stones; we welcome your wardens, too."

She then explained the day, and hour, before her hand dropped from the bark, and the gleaming runes faded once again. Throughout the wilderness, even into the towns, the plants would whisper the message to the Druids in the domain. Those sensitive to nature magic - the rangers, the faithful of the Nature Gods - would not make out the words, but sense the whisper none the less. It gives an inviting sensation, a calming one, and they might wish to decipher the meaning.

OOC: This is essentially a round-up to help druids onto the same page and get folks introduced, re-introduced, and up to speed on the druidy events and issues. Don't worry, it's not a recruitment drive and not hosted by any specific faction. This player is just a sucker for epic ritual convergence casting and all that jazz.

For any who don't know my discord handle, it's GaiaGirl#8086. Hopefully we can get a group chat together and sort out a good time next weekend. if your character can't make the meeting in the end, its no problem, the main purpose of this is to get everyone in contact, IC or OOC.

This message goes out to all those of nature no matter the organization you may be attached to, I would like to host a meeting of the druidic factions to discuss ongoing events in our lovely fictional world.

This would be a rp based event for all those of nature to express themselves. If interested in such a gathering please do post here and with a little luck we can schedule it for this coming weekend or the following if everyone can attend.

If you have any further questions please pm me and I will answer when possible.

Ashling hears the forest and speaks with Emmanuel about the details. She'd be attending as his warden and with her own interest in nature.

((Saturday works best for me, but Sunday afternoon CDT could work too. I'll do my best to be flexible. ))

((On discord, there is now a faction in the DM screen, TeamTree, to help organise the event and link up all druids. Ask to be added and mention your character, the channel is no longer generally open.))

Ceir travels from the Old Grove by Candlekeep to the wood/wild elf community in the north, sending those he finds who serve nature to Iolanna or Emmanuel, as he sees fit.

As he approaches the community, he asks its wardens, from a distance, to speak to a Keeper of theirs, to spread the summon.

(I can engineer a run in along the way for whomever needs it. Even if it's someone rather opposed to him, as long as he thinks they would listen to Emmanuel and Iolanna.

Any more closely aligned with his views he sends to Taka...)
