Are non-evil familiars allowed with in the walls of the friendly arm inn if they are controlled by a wizard?
With it being a place for adventures to rest ,having a wizard with a familiar shouldn't be too strange.
While I doubt a guard cares for a magical bunny or dung beetle , what about if you have a fairy dragon or fire mephit?
Is it meta gaming to have it enter the walls and just rp it as a familiar?

Source: THE LAWS OF THE LANDS (IC)"One must tie one's thumb to her belt if one finds herself to be of the arcane profession, be she a hedgewizard, archmage or similar."
Seems to me they don't like arcane spellcasters there. I wouldn't risk with a familiar, or any other summoned creature, if I were you.

I don't see that one being rped much or at all, it's a bit of a gray zone law wise.

It's not a grey zone law-wise, the FAI rules state: no weapons out, no spells, no summons. It only seems like a grey zone because many players tend to ignore the FAI rules. If there was a DM controlling the guards there, habits/perceptions might change drastically, although I wouldn't wish that job on any DM.
As far as summons go, I cant see a cat or a rabbit familiar being a big issue. Fairy dragons might cause a bit of a "wtf?", and I would guess fire mephits definitely would not go over well.
