I hope your character has high enough bluff to back up this claim :D (but in seriousness, if I were you I'd check eligibility of that background with the DMs)

As for druid builds, the good old druid 30 is still the easiest to play and most well-rounded.

Zekylyn were the half-dragon offspring of Clan Jaezred's shadow dragons and the drow of Chaulssin, who were enslaved by the dragons. In 634 DR, the dragons were overthrown.

In 734 DR, the now-free citizens of Chaulssin escaped to the Plane of Shadow to evade the armies of Menzoberranzan, who were bent on killing them for being heretics. On the Plane of Shadow, they were part of the founders of Chaul'mur'ssin. They learned of a way to divide their dragon and drow lineages, leading to the creation of the race of the drow-dragon. They returned in a significant number to Toril in 1136 DR.

In 1372, the majority of the zekyl lived in Chaulssin and formed the majority of the Jaezred Chaulssin's membership by a large margin.

A zekyl had the abilities of a drow and of a half-dragon of shadow dragon patronage. They had the good natural dexterity of normal drow, but their dragon blood erased the drow's physical frailty. It also made them significantly stronger, and enhanced their already keen intellect and charisma.

Being drow elves gave them good resistance against magic that affected their will and against enchantment in general, protection against spells and an immunity to sleep magic. Their dragon side provided them with an outright immunity against being paralyzed and draining of energy and a thick hide to protect against physical attacks. They had claws and a bite usable in combat.

Like any other drow, they had darkvision, but also gained low-light vision. They could create dancing lights, faerie fire, and darkness each once a day.

Furthermore, they had the ability to breathe out a cone of shadows that would weaken overall any foes caught in the area. They could do this once a day.

A distinctive feature of Chaulssinyr zekyl was a pair of wings on their back that allowed them to fly faster than they could move on land. Normally, only half-dragons of species larger than drow could have wings.

A zekyl had a predisposition for the roguish arts, with natural skill in intimidation, as well as an elf's normal keen senses.
or this one?

Zekyl was the name given to the half-dragon offspring of shadow dragons and drows, who mated in the Plane of Shadow. A series of invasions from enemy armies forced the dark elves further from even the Underdark into Shadowfell. However, they found no real haven there either, as they were soon enslaved by the dragons that dwelt there. The powerful beasts had no problems against the drowic magics and easily subdued them. However, due to infighting within the factions of dragons, their rule wavered and collapsed. The newly established victors showed clemency and freed the drows from their servitude. Thus began a healing period after years of tumultuous relations. The zekyl were born during this time and bore with them the combined qualities of their parent races.

A zekyl had the abilities of a drow and that of a half-dragon of shadow dragon patronage. Their drow blood gave them a natural dexterity but unlike normal drow, their dragon blood erased their drow’s physical frailty and made them stronger and their already keen mind sharper and personality stronger. Zekyl had a predisposition for the roguish arts and are historically hired for dirty work. Their flexibility and strength made them perfect killers or bodyguards and there are many fears their power could grow to overwhelm that of other races. Many left Shadowfell to venture to the Underdark, and eventually, to the World Above. They are sometimes discriminated against outside their birthplace as they are somewhat a product of heresy and are a bit more lackadaisical than the usual drow in their worship of Lolth.

Zekyl come mainly from their origin land in Shadowfell, often venturing outwards to the Material Realm. In the Plane of Shadow, they live amongst the drows, with some venturing to the caves to dwell with their dragon parent. Zekyl have carved out a niche society for themselves where they convene and train in magic and combat with one another. They are fiercely protective of their own allies and very hesitant to let others into their personal circles. To better enchance their combat abilities, they often put all their focus into taming their bodies and minds, leaving room for little else. While they do have families, they are very platonic unless they become true mates. The dwelling of a zekyl will often be bare of frivolity.

Zekyl are sometimes disliked by drow due to their indifference towards the goddess despite their drow heritage and upbringing. Zekyl live amongst the drows in Shadowfell but are discriminated against by the drows outside, and even some radicals within. They are even more disliked in the Material Realm, where people think of them as evil abominations born of cult crazed fanatics. Zekyl thus have some resentment towards Lolth, whom they blame for the drows mental enslavement and evil reputation, as the drow who immigrated to Shadowfell took their traditions with them. As they were born after a period of slavery, zekyl harbor strong feelings for freedom and free will. They can often be a driving force for causes they believe in against oppressive rules. However, this differs between zekyl, as sometimes, the drowic nature shines through more prevalently than the draconic. These zekyl are more subservient to observing the cult of Lolth.
Think people are more you know better asking if RRD and other like classes to have other dragon types like a Shadow, deep, gem, planer dragon types to also use. Then everyone can be goth/emo dragons :) I'd love to play a purple/deep dragon. Or put in more dragon shapes for druids, gonna look weird being a part shadow dragon druid that turns into a red dragon.

Could always just make a dragon-drow (Draa-Zeky)

They were shadow dragons but at the same time also drow. They had the same abilities as the shadow dragon, which they developed further as they aged, but added to this the ability to change into an individual drow form and back to dragon form. They could stay in either form for an indefinite amount of time.

The reproduction of drow-dragons—not the act, but the result—was a mystery. On one hand, the child of a drow-dragon and a drow was stated to be a zekyl. They had a tendency to produce more male half-dragons than female ones, but those were still half-dragons. Nurvureem, Mauzzkyl Jaezred's daughter, was kidnapped in 1241 DR while still in the womb of her mother and only found in 1358 DR. She was already a drow-dragon despite not having undergone any rituals to turn her into one.

The drow-dragon was not a race that sprung up on its own. All drow-dragons traced their ancestry back to Clan Jaezred, a clan of shadow dragons who enslaved the drow of the city of Chaulssin in −221 DR but were killed by their own half-dragon offspring and servants in 634 DR. The population of Chaulssin then traveled to the Plane of Shadow to evade the armies of Menzoberranzan bent on killing them for being heretics in 734 DR. After founding their city Chaul'mur'ssin, they came into conflict with Clan Malaug.

During this conflict, House Jaezred, at that time fulfilling the duties of a secret police force dedicated to finding and killing shapeshifting infiltrators, stole from the malaugrym the necessary magic to divide their dragon and drow parts, and the race of the drow-dragon was born.

In 1136 DR, House Jaezred, and with it a few drow-dragons, returned to Toril. In 1372 DR, nine drow-dragons were known to exist on Toril. It is unknown how many of them still lived in Chaul'mur'ssin.

Eight of the aforementioned drow-dragons formed the leadership of the Jaezred Chaulssin. The ninth was the Jaezred Chaulssin's leader Mauzzkyl's daughter Nurvureem.
" But arn't they the same thing? "

no not really.

Draa is a dragon and a drow can change into a dragon and turn into a drow, a Zykel is a half dragon

But again am just passionate about something that interests me from a lore idea even if it is a homebrew race, I play one on a different server. just an idea on how you should play your ' dm approved' pc idea and how people probably should/ how they are going to react seeing this pc. You're not going to be liked by anyone.

if I were wanting to be in this race, I'd still stick to what they are spies/stealth rouges. See if you would somehow work Red dragon disciple (spellblade) use what makes a sorc having draconic blood in their veins into it to being your ' dragon ' or dragon warrior wep master rouge?.
