Not sure about now, but in the past, you would PM the DM that was in charge of the Biography section. I don't know who does this now.

Well considering there’s already a slew of unverified and unapproved nobles and special knight backgrounds on this server, I don’t think you’ll get in trouble. At least, posting it publicly you’ll be doing it the correct way instead of trying to convince players to approve it for you.

This is something that’s been brought up to the head DMs recently and am hoping to get more clarification on this rule. Years ago, there was a strict process. Since backgrounds stopped getting checked, it’s pretty become “I’m approved because nobody said otherwise.”

If you’re looking to keep DMs “in the know” about a secret character, they wouldn’t already realize, and/or looking for some particular help for the background, feel free to PM the DM team group with a clear ask of what you’re looking to do/accomplish along with the background in question. Please note the DM team isn’t doing bio awards.

Examples:

“I wanted the DMs aware of the background/goals of my character, for the DMs to use how they see fit in events for the future.”

“I wanted to make sure X part seemed acceptable, as I wasn’t quite sure about the lore and/or how it fits into the server.”

If you just post your bio/background to them in a PM, more than likely DMs will say “I don’t know what the player wants me to do with this.”

I don't know if it is allowed but in the conditional examine there is a special section only and exclusively for DMs. I hope there is no character limit but I was thinking of copy/pasting my background there, if you want you could do the same so as not to fear any metagame
