Umm... last time I go explorin... ?!?

Was exploring the areas in BG that I had not yet looked around because I cant seem to find one of the sailors for the Captain on the harbor...
Thought 'maybe' one of them was shape shifted into a cat because he mentioned liking cats & I had already checked every Inn, even the high class ones, in BG

Was looking in the rooms I had skipped prior inside the Merchant guild building when I went downstairs...
Looking around in rooms that were NOT locked, I started to think this feels like a 'storage room' or 'vault' that REALLY should be locked...
& then I turn 'around' to find myself locked INSIDE behind a door that was NOT locked?!@?

I don't even have the pick lock skill, let alone tools....
How did this door lock behind me like this?

Many locks can be bashed. Just hold your right mouse button on door and see if you have "attack" options.
There are few "trap" areas around server though, that's not intentional.

Was able to get out on server reset when sent back to Nexus but good to know in case it happens elsewhere

It was the doors of what looked like cells in the basement(?) of the Merchant League building at the Baldurs Gate Harbor, not sure if it had a particular zone name
For some reason they let me open them but then locked behind me
