Re: Coming Soon: Shifter PRC
I'm very interested in this Shifter class because you added Weapon EB: +1 per 4 Shifter levels to the benefits. I tried multiple times over the years to create a non-magical shifter that wasn't worse than the Druid pet. I failed miserably short because there is no way to get enhancement bonus weapon damage without casting Greater Magic Fang on yourself, which won't last long at low caster levels in higher level areas due to the dispells. A dire wolf with feats and ICE has awful AB and cannot bypass DR/magic without GMF. Bear Warrior being tied to Barbarian Rage never did it for me, if you know what I mean.

I apologize if I missed it but what about natural spell in forms?

Re: Coming Soon: Shifter PRC
Druid 10 / Shifter 20 would give the character up to level 5 spells. What would you cast since the buffs would be easily dispelled? Heals? Roleplay spells?

Re: Coming Soon: Shifter PRC
I mean, yeah? It's the main tradeoff for Shifters, and there's nothing wrong with just stacking your spellbook with RP spells, my wizard has a whole spellbook setup that's completely useless for anything except RP

How would Fighter 4 work with Weapon Specialization: Creature if that is even a thing? Will it work for the shifted forms at all?

But what if the shifted form is using a weapon like the dryad or a pixie? I'm guessing it won't work then, right?matelener wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 3:06 amUnarmed Weapon feats translate to creature weapon bonusesThe_Sorting_Hat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 2:59 am How would Fighter 4 work with Weapon Specialization: Creature if that is even a thing? Yes, it will not work. For clarity purposes, only 3 Shapes use weapons right now: dryad (longbow), pixie (shortbow), ogre magi (great mace)The_Sorting_Hat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 3:09 amBut what if the shifted form is using a weapon like the dryad or a pixie? Will Epic Toughness work with forms?
What about Fast Healing Feats? Do they stack with the existing Shifter Regeneration?
How does Power Attack calculate creature weapons as? One-handed? Two-Handed? Light?
...I think with those three, I've run out of Shifter related questions.

All passive feats work. Regen stacks. Power attack is calculated as one-handed weapon. So, -3 AB / +3 dmg.The_Sorting_Hat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 3:33 am Will Epic Toughness work with forms?

Steadfast, yes (because there is a fort save involved). Immunities, no. It's a very forceful procedure after all.
Keep in mind that the enemy must be a humanoid and must be incapacitated. Which means Extract has to be used as a combo. Mind Blast / sleep from Dryad / Owlbear's screech etc.

Re: Coming Soon: Shifter PRC
I thought I was done, but nope. I got one more.
Bear Warrior gets the elemental damage of their gauntlets applied in the Bear form as they don't have buffs of their own while Wizard forms and Wildshapes don't get that. Where does the shifter stand as regards to this? It was said the forms work as wild shape, but they don't really get any good buffing powers of their own, so do elemental bonus damages from gauntlets work with forms or no?
Does anything from their weapons carry over as they already get enhancement bonuses to their attacks? Elemental damage from weapons maybe?
I'm guessing the other items work as they do with druids? Enhacement bonus from Armor transfers, alongside ability bonus items? What about shield AC? Deflection? Dodge? Natural?

All of the creature weapon wildshapes inherit properties from gloves. This is not true for polymorph/shapechange. The other rules of merging you can read at https://wiki.bgtscc.net/index.php?title=PolymorphingThe_Sorting_Hat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 7:51 am I thought I was done, but nope. I got one more.
