Not rely on hips but you still added hide/ms skills for the attack by suprise. So why not to trade DS for Cavestalker? Tumble class skill too. Full CL. Bonus feat for CE or favored enemy. Expand ranger abilities to underdark. And fighter4, you will get xp penanty. Maybe trade it for WOD or Divine Chanpion?

I don't know if it's worth it but you could try Ranger 24 / Blackguard 3 / Cavestalker 3

16 str 14 dex 8 con (really bad I know) 14 int 10 wis 18 charisma

Out -- weapon focus and spec, no northlander, practiced spellcaster, dodge and armor skin.
(you do not need +4 str item and +4 charisma item, just use +3 for undispellable 24 cha&str)

Feats: LoH, Able learner, power attack, cleave, CE, Blindfight, Divine might, Epic prowess, Expose, Great Cha 1, Bane of enemies, EDM, (last feat could be ICE for +3 permanent ac, Northlander for extra situational damage, great str 1 and +4 str item for +8 str mod, divine shield for +7 situations ac, divine vigor for extra hp and speed boost, steadfast is worth it with your 29 fort without uni items and spellcraft ).

Barkskin gives +5 natural ac and you can equip +4 wis necklace for your 4th level spells, halo of sand gives +4 deflection and you can equip all sort of items.

29 fort 26 reflex 21 will without uni items (+3 charisma and +4 con item or spell).

In my opinion this is a quite versatile build because you are not forced to use only one type of weapon, depending on the situation you can use kukri (slashing), short sword (piercing), mace (blunt), cold iron&silver. Normally the best thing is to use two kukri and keen edge, so as to have constant divine damage and a critical range of 15-20 (14 divine damage / 28 critical).

Your build has 1 or 2 points more AC and 4 ab, your main damage is physical, the problem is that in epic dungeons most mobs have damage reduction 10 and this makes northlander almost useless imho (10 str mod to damage / 10 DR mob ). Two weapon EDM is a different and slightly more versatile route in my opinion but I don't know if it's really worth it, especially because it works in the late epics.

A Hateful Drow wrote: Tue May 11, 2021 2:20 pm I mean, I wouldn't like to have to rely on hips to deal damage but I will never negate that it's one of the most useful abilities out there in case of you need to attack someone by surprise, for example those arcanist dridders or get out of a troublesome situation to fight another day rather than dying, and since with ranger is for free, it's kind of absurd not to take advantage from it.

I thought about Dragonslayer at first, that's why it's set there instead of anything else, but I didn't see a good spot to place Iron Will feat, which is a requirement, and it would also drop my CL by 1 since it doesn't give CL on lvl 2 and that would make me susceptible to dispells by Greater Dispella and since everyone in the underdark seems to love that spell, I'd hate to face it with the few spells I would be able to cast. I could drop Practiced spellcaster for it, but that would be same issue. It would drop my CL from 30 to 25.

About fighter 4, you are actually kind of right. I don't know why it didn't appeart to my mind earlier  I could have swapped all those in taunt skill to Lore: Religion and more Heal since Divine Champ has no access to taunt.
Cavestalker should be better than DS in this case. Full CL and better class abilities, and even bonus feat for CE or more favored enemy. If you want to have full Taunt skill you may consider Guild Thief, or maybe Warpriest? Such a build I think may have 2 ways. Either Str/Cha based and take BG for EDM, or go full Str based and take Imp-Knockdown

If things goes live onto server: viewtopic.php?f=496&t=76139

In all due honesty, I would consider something that has 24 levels of Fighter in order to get permanent 40% Concealment. Fighter 22 and 24 are needed to get the Epic Feats. Thus, you could just go all in those Fighter Bonus feats, and for flavor, add any of those 5 or so level PRCs.

Mechanically strongest option probably would be a Strongheart Hafling Fighter 24/Frenzied Berserker 6... Who would dual wield small Finesse Weapons with Power Attack Active... But, you know, there is Tempest, Divine Seeker, Master of Disguise, Breach Gnome, Invisible Blade... Lot of other things to choose as well.
If you are offended by what I said have said above, I have recieved my last warning, I have discussed Intuitive Attack, so report - for I do not mind. Getting me banned is nothing special, it happens every week. But you could also choose not to be offended, this place needs more banter, your choice.
