Grey orc, duergar, tanarukk, or svirfneblin would probably make the most sense for shamans. Drow or Deep Imaskar would be harder to justify, but possible.

As for whether it's worship, friendship, or demonic pacts... that's up to you! All are good options.

Drow: Ghaunadaur, "That Which Lurks, The Elder Eye, The Ancient One."

Grey Orc: Luthic, "The Cave Mother, Great Mother, Mother of Bahgtru, The Healer, The Blood Moon Witch."

Tanarruk: No deity, or perhaps one of the demon lords.

Canonically, at least, yes. Mechanically in-game, they are limited to the druid ones, because the deities are hardcoded to the druid spell list. I'm going to work on a way around that eventually.

Oh, my bad. I could have sworn Spirit Shamans did not have deity restrictions. I mean, Rangers do not have them on this server for the same lore reasons. I did once run around with a Ranger of Bane, after all.

On any level a shaman would pick, you can also pick on cavestalker.

So let us say I have Spirit Shaman and I take Cavestalker, I need to log out and in, and... I get spells on level up? Or what? Not sure of the actual mechanics, since Spontaneous Casters are a bit different to Druids/Rangers.

Well, if we speak of shifter, then it totally doesn't grant any spellcasting progression. I guess it's typo and you meant cavestalker.

For cavestalker, you gain your new spells just normally on your level up(Please make sure to relog after gaining first cavestalker level cause it applies spell progression after first relog only).
