"Seeing" Dark Blessing in Action

Does the Combat Log show any application of Dark Blessing?

Does it simply lower the Save of mob when it Rolls? As in if the mob has Fortiude 20 + d20 for a Save, if Dark Blessing is actively applied, the Combat Log would report "18 + d20?" So unless the Player new the actual Save number of the mob, one couldn't tell if is was working.

Or, would it be that if the DC was say 20, and the mob rolled a 21, with the -2 from Dark blessing active, it would actually fail?

The former, you just see the modded roll. If there's any doubt the aura works, I've tested it out plenty of times, it works, sometimes it's a bit wonky with the range and all that.

Thanks. I guess though when the Fire Giant General has 52 Fort to begin with, it ain't really necessary to worry too much!
