You're rping on a medium RP server with a D&D setting ,not haven lite/social server or what so ever.
Immersion is also a part of role play and gives the DM team an area to work with, by taking too much liberty with the rulebook you reduce the immersion for the sake of 'every one being happy' which reduces the RP setting from medium to lite.
People do plenty of conflict RP when it suits them in the form of DM events or killing monsters, even if their character is not interested in conflict.
However when the conflict RP will limit their own narrative than it becomes an issue, especially when they might up losing Icly.
Edel is wording exactly what is bothering me 'everything goes for the sake of fun' even when it just bluntly means ignoring the setting/rp at hand for the sake of a persons own narrative.
If I speak my mind about the current server state is that it turns more into haven lite with a focus on specific type of RP.
Some of you might enjoy this, I don't.
What I would like to ask the DM team is to discuss with each other RP in general and how people should perceive rp on this server, think of topics such as.
- Accountability of your IC actions (Casting pact magic on the farmlands, running with humans skulls on your armor, worshiping Talos)
- Unlikely race/class combinations (Paladin Grey orc /Paladin drow/ Aasimar blackguard/ elf following malar/talos)
- How levels should be perceived (You're 30 but the DM rps you're just a green adventurer)
- If the server should embrace conflict RP or allow people to do what they want with no real consequences.
- A vision how the team wants to see the RP be on this server
- If they still want it to be a medium RP server
Take a clear stance and see what rolls out of it, after that it will be easy to decide what to do with the UD restrictions.
