Horatio is a fine cavalier hat made of grey felt. The left side of his brim is pinned to his crown, donned with an elegant and vibrant phoenix feather. Those within close proximity to Horatio can sense a faint aura of protective magics, most especially if set atop the head.

Horatio was crafted around the year 1353 within the port city of Baldur's Gate by a skilled hatter. Ultimately purchased by a sub-par but otherwise tolerable fellow by the name of Emrys Kerr, Horatio began to see and experience much of the Sword Coast atop the Ffolkman's head.

One day, Horatio was abducted by the elf Laeria Amarillis due to Emrys's consistent ineptitude. While within her clutches, the feather clipped to his crown was removed only to then be replaced with a vibrant phoenix feather. He was then graciously (or possibly unfortunately) returned to his owner, from then on flaunting a more elegant appearance.

The makeover, however, was possibly to Horatio's detriment as he now finds himself hatnapped with greater frequency since Emrys's competence has certainly not improved. Perhaps one day he will find an abductor with greater aptitude that will actually keep him rather than always being returned to the Ffolkman. Only time will tell what the future has in store for Horatio.
