Scrying Sensor does not consider Party as Friendly

The description of the Scrying Sensor states that
Saving throws are performed every five minutes, for every non-frienldy creature in close proxmity to the sensor.
However, this appears to be performed once per round, and by party-members - which by most contexts are considered friendly to the caster.
This makes it problematic to keep a scrying sensor nearby a party member, as when buffed they almost instantly boot any sensor back to the caster.
I play a baker. Sometimes she provides counseling or treatment.

She seems unusually interested in cursed items.
She has also been seeking a variety of gems and stones.
