I Really don't know how to stress this enough but I'm going to try.
Role Playing in the Forgotten Realms is why some or most of us are here. Key word "Role Playing". If your a character that's going to walk tough, talk tough and emote a bunch of offensive or rude gestures ...the risk of taking a "Dirt Nap" and getting "fugue'd" in response to your tough walks and tough talks and offensive emotes...is very real. AND if it happens.. to OOC rage and QQ/ Cry Cry after. Is really considered out of bounds in my point of view and overall bad RP.
It does not matter your level, nor your gear equipment. Someone always has better. Playing evil is playing evil, but when your pushing your RP to be obviously rude and insulative and still continues to be offensive, please don't be expecting someone to RP a fearful coward all the time and submit to your RP. Players like me care nothing of player on player die rolls. Die Rolls are for DM events in this game. Its up to the players if they want to participate in player on player die rolls ..its not a must. When people like myself is engaged in RP with another player, what you type is what's considered and it means everything. If a character don't punch you in the face at the moment, but later come back and cut your throat well..that's a form of RP. Perhaps they didn't want others to see their violent response? Maybe they have something to safeguard? Or maybe they simply wasn't ready to confront you in return at that moment in time.
If your openly going about with spawning Undead's do be mindful of consequences. If your going to pickpocket someone, do be mindful of consequences. AND if your going to be rude and act hostile and be insulative to someone ..be mindful of the consequence. IC Beatdown, killed, or even imprisoned or executed is very very much in the lines of concluding consequence's and not limited too. OOC Server Rules and IC Laws are in placed for A REASON. And Ignorance is not an excuse.
Now then...please enjoy the game. The game is meant to be played ^^

Re: Be Mindful Of Your RP
While I get the idea behind this post.
The issue is not about combat PvP or dice or what ever, it's conflict. And people taking offense for other people doesn't help much when they start talking behind your back.
It's never going to stop until others such as staff decide when enough is enough.
I just came from a break playing on another game and server, lived for nearly 5 months doing horrible things to people just so they can have a chunk of the map they call their own. Was exhausting since there was so much OOC drama (including some with staff), OOC false claims and OOC envy from upstarts who wanted to challenge me as I made some things look easy and others wanted the social status I had. Watch them die after, and I died IC without a problem as it was fair game- to only witness my characters death generate more RP for the rest and watch on the side lines others plot to murder my IC murderers.
And watch more drama consume.
If you engage in conflict, watch someone throw a tantrum- just remember that's how it works. I have become somewhat numb after years and years of it myself.
EDIT: I still deal with people here who hold grudges after years, and I seem to strike fear in people out of speculation alone. It's not going to end, ever.

After years of trying to give others a chance to prove to me they can shape up here, I have run out of patience. The numbers of nwn2 overall dropping in the past few years have told me the path others truly want to take. Actions speak louder than words.
It's not worth the investment.
