Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
That eve, Dunn arrives to the Flaming Fist compound, unarmed and without most of his possessions, save for a bloodstone amulet on an iron chain.
What he did bring, however, might strike some as odd, he had a blanket and pillow with him.
As for the Vanguard captain himself, he looked dog tired, with dark circles around his eyes. He smiles to the Fist or city watch, whichever took him in.
He's taken in, any in ear shot might hear the charges of rampage or violence against his wife. Since when did he get married again?

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
The Archdruid of the Green Enclave is seen entering the city and heading to Lucky Aello's. After spending some time inside, the Archdruid ends up ordering 30 yards of fabric for some reason or another. He tells Aello that he will pick up the fabric at a later date.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
In one of the many alley's within Baldur's wall's. A hooded figure lingers within a shadow while in a heavy debate with himself while observant eyes continue to keep watch of any passerby's. "Should I even care?" he wondered. "The filth within the City has been depressing enough, the change of times have become far more annoying and distasteful." he whispered. "Power rise and falls then time passes until some other foolish ones repeat the cycle." A smirk from behind the mask follows. "War...hmph...these people and their wars,... too anxious to make names for themselves, yet too blind to miss important opportunities! Very well then, let's see where things go, and decide which side I shall play in...the thing about toy's ..is that they often birth the very world one wishes to create...."

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
*a notice is placed several places around the wide and the Eastern District*
Let it be known that an Inquiry has been brought upon Carah, a human female with known association to House Darrius.
Ms Carah stands accused of the following;
To be a practitioner of the unclean and forbidden Eldritch Dark Arts.
Of being the consort of Fiends, Demons and other dark forces of destruction and chaos
Of kicking a kitten, within the lands of the Grand Dukes of Baldur’s Gate.
Her Accuser: the Heretic Solaris Chult, an self proclaimed follower of the false god Auril.
Anyone whom would like to offer testimony to the charges is to report to the Temple of Helm and seek Gerhard VanFaust.

Pinned beneath the notice is a response.
You must be a poor investigator.
The incorrectly accused woman...
- Is not employed by House Darius (which you also misspelled)
- Does not have the use of such magics
- Is disliked by the woman who accused her who made up these accusations for the sake of having her "taken care of".
If you have further questions about this you can reach me at the Darius Estate.

Note amended.
Inspector, this is unfounded. You have no quarrel with Carah, your investigations are better spent upon the Thayan Enclave.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
A half-elf with brown hair and blue eyes that some may know all to well as Kevlamir Sharp was seen less in the city itself nowadays. Only those who truly know them would likely understand what they are up too in between. But rumors would likely spread far and wide regardless as to what the notorious half-elf could only be up too.
Meanwhile...
The Calishite female some know as Aiyda Hasabah of House Divine is sighted more frequently than in the past few moons making her rounds around the city.

After years of trying to give others a chance to prove to me they can shape up here, I have run out of patience. The numbers of nwn2 overall dropping in the past few years have told me the path others truly want to take. Actions speak louder than words.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
Whispers of an armored figure entering the Blade and Stars Inn and purchasing accommodations for an unknown amount of time might be heard whispered throughout the district - although not unusual - some identify this man as Alexander Marshall, formerly known in association with several organizations across the coast. Further still, it may be heard that Alexander Marshall left note in the Inn's common room - seeking another man named Alexander Holgart for what he described as a 'Polite Conversation'.
Was this rumor spoken across the land? No. But the inconsequential nature of such news may very well catch the right ears.

Return from the Isles
After close to a tenday of absence, a chartered ship returns to port bearing several passengers of note, all of whom appear to be exhausted, but of good spirit and cheer, save, perhaps, for one particularly dour, hulking half-orc known by most of the commonfolk about the docks as none other than Rhaeg.
In his company, shuffling along with their effects, laughing and joking as they disembark:
a dark-haired tiefling dressed in the rich red colors of Sune, radiating smiles and warmth,
the tall blond master of the Darius estate, taciturn and stoic, though betrayed by a crooked grin after some lewd crack made to the former,
a clean-shaven Ffolk man sporting a feathered, wide-brimmed hat and dapper overcoat, cackling and carousing with the auburn-haired, hazel-eyed woman on his arm,
the Archdruid of the area, standing erect and proud, but chuckling as he speaks softly with the dark-haired, lithe ranger at his side,
a shuffling, shy figure sporting wooden antlers and tightly hugging a snow leopard in his arms,
a dark-clad tiefling chattering away in low, murmured tones (and varying timbres) with incessant, unanswered questions directed perhaps at the genasi... maybe,
and at last, the gliding, fair form of the patron of House Vale in all his finery and bright presence.
The group clump and thin as they make their way through the streets of the dock, bit by bit saying their fond, affectionate farewells and going their separate ways.

Two women could have been noticed adoring the park nearby White Mask Theater, before heading inside. After they entered the theater, music could have been heard coming from there, as well as awe-inspiring singing of a mysterious male voice...

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate

House Divine would entertain Lord Anjinson of House Anjinson in the Everwinter Estate. He would be invited to the Estate’s ballroom to retrieve a painting stolen from a consortium of merchant guilds and recovered by House Divine on behalf of House Anjinson. Lord Anjinson would offer to assist House Divine in returning other stolen paintings retrieved from the recovery mission to the local merchant Houses they were taken from.
Afterwards House Divine would talk trade with House Anjinson where they would agree to meet again to discuss a potential trade agreement, where upon House Divine would purchase silk imported by House Anjinson. Though House Divine would endeavor to make inquiries about other importers.
* * *
Later that day the House Matron would solicit a carpenter to inspect fire damage inflicted on the ceiling of one of the Estates fitting chambers. When asked what caused the damage the Matron would just angrily fold her arms and shake her head in a gesture to suggest she simply didn’t want to talk about it.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
Copies are sent via courier to the various temples and taverns in the city, as well as south to Beregost, east as far as Greenest, Easting, and Priapurl, and north along the Trade Way.
Any responding to the call that arrive in Fort Triel would be greeted by the Warden at Arms of the Order of the Radiant Heart. Supply bundles would be given, weapons or armor as needed, and some pay for time and travel. These forces would be gathered and begin drilling on fighting as a unit.
Good people
The Zhentarim are aligned with the forces of the Underdark! These vile creatures have assembled and marched upon the surface. They commit acts of vile evil upon the peoples who have sent their soldiers north to face the tyrannical Zhentarim. If these Under-Dwelling forces are not put down, there is no telling who will be their next targets. This is a call to any able and willing to protect the victims of these attacks, this is a call to protect your homes from becoming a target.
Any who wish to stand up to these agents of tyranny and destruction, come and gather at Fort Triel. Gold will be allocated to compensate you with equipment, food, and other necessities. Let us show the Zhentarim and their vile Underdark allies that we are not afraid of them, we will not stand by while they raid our homes, and that the Black Network has no place in the Western Heartlands.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
Deep into the night, leaflets appear to fall from the sky in various places within the City, some floating their way even to the exterior farmlands landing randomly around the Gate. Some eagle eyed individuals claiming to have seen a feint ghostly figure walking across the night sky far in the distance.

Citizens of the Coast,
This war is nothing more than a war of aggression enacted by the members of the Lord’s Alliance. For years peace has prospered between Darkhold’s Zhentarim and the city of Baldur’s Gate, for years the Zhentarim kept the forces of the Underdark at bay to secure prosperous trade among the region. This war and its resulting damages and deaths are none to blame but that of the Lord’s Alliance and those who support their lust for blood.
It was not the Zhentarim that broke the treaty that created lasting peace between the Gate and Darkhold, in fact it was the Zhentarim that created said peace to begin with and urged it to be kept. It was the Zhentarim that provided grain and sustenance to the people of the Gate during times of famine, Zhentarim that held the bulwark against the devils and demons. However it was the Duke’s “sworn vassals” and the Lord’s Alliance that cried out for war, it is they who wished this destruction and death among the common folk. It is they who wished to create chaos and strife across the Coast and let loose the denizens of the Underdark upon their own people. Yet it is the same vassals who cry about the results of their own actions, actions that have dire consequences for the masses.
The Lord’s Alliance and the various organizations and individuals who support them have forsaken their people, following their lust for war and bloodshed rather than seeking to maintain the peace that has lasted for years. Actions that have resulted and will continue to result in Bhaal’s embrace coming for the masses, both innocent and guilty as their souls get sent to Myrkul.
You reap what you sow, and the Lord’s Alliance and those that support them have crafted a terrible tapestry of death and destruction with the Coast as their canvas.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
A human purist would have been placing notices across the Under City, to those who dare venture into such dark and dangerous places. They may only see it. If the human if ever seen, would have been cloaked and concealed from head to toe. Making haste to get in and out as quick as possible. It is likely the figure would not be seen the same as before, if ever at all in the same attire.
The note was left unsigned, for obvious reasons as the notices stated.
( OOC: If you are ever interested in meeting through some coordination, you can of coarse contact me in forums with hints to who you may be IC for my character to find you in time. Otherwise I will proceed as I am. )
I witness the act of humans arguing over who is right and wrong for long enough; the answer is no one is in the right. And who is to blame? I see more arguments over missives and speeches, lectures and the screams – oh, the screams – all over what is right and what is wrong.
I know the truth, and the core of the matter is not about what is good and what is bad. Right and wrong no longer matter. A thin line to cross, methods are the only thing separating.
But what if the problem is less that, and more of race?
I am here to bring the truth to those who wish to witness it. My brothers and sisters of the human race I ask you to give me all eyes and ears for what I am about to say to you. For the truth is a war of humans against non-humans.
The Zhentarim and the Holy Orders of the city are no different than each other in so many ways, and simply argue over what is acceptable to consort with. Drow, Elves, Tieflings, The planes above and below. This is the only thing that separates us. It is a war on race.
I ask of you, brothers and sisters, to ask yourselves: what are you truly fighting for?
Rebel against the non-human and its collaborators, for it’s the leaders of these organizations and more that have taken your liberties and freedoms of your mind, thinking you fight for some greater good, pawns of their games.
The outside influences of non-humans upon the rightful people of the land needs to cease. I care not of what one feels is good or evil, for the evil of these beings has seeded within your bleeding hearts and minds. Taking what values and traditions you once held away from you, due to them all playing the martyr.
To those that wish to act in time, I will find you.
