no saving roll in the log, no effect either.
tested on spawns and hostile players.
(what I didn't test was -if it works on creatures <= 6HD)

How many Shifter levels did you have? I did find a bug with the spell implementation, but even after the fix goes live, you may find yourself unable to put some things to sleep.

The Sleep spell (which this is based on) just silently aborts if no valid targets are found. If there were no targets with 18 or fewer levels in the AoE...
Anyway, when the next patch goes live, you'll be able to affect 36HD of creatures at your current Shifter level, as per the wiki description.
