AK/WOD
Both AK and WOD are excellent 4 level splashes.
Levels 9 and 10 are great too. There is a large gap of filler between these levels that could use some help, imo.
Currently, WOD is mechanically better than AK since it gets h/ms skills.
Suggestion:
Remove tumble from WOD so that each has skillset the other is lacking.
Add bonus feat at level 6.

Re: AK/WOD
Imo, atm, Tumble is far too valuable as a skill to remove it from WoD, much, much better than Hide/MS. I'd argue the removal of Hide/MS instead. Or give the AK Hide/MS. No need to constantly try to level things down.

Re: AK/WOD
They're not 1 to 1 classes. And neither is particularly strong so I'd be hesitant to push for nerfs. I personally think both classes could us a bit of a bump. But it's one of those things that, before making specific recommendations I'd like to run a gambit of test builds. Sometimes our intuitions about what is strong and what is weak can be a little off. And it's difficult in this game because there are so many variables.blacksoft wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 1:41 pm Both AK and WOD are excellent 4 level splashes.

Anyway, it's on the list but at the moment ToT and all of the new stuff that came with it is sucking all the air out of the room in terms of testing time. And even if that was all finished and agreed upon the devs are a little on the busy side to implement a bunch of new class changes.

I understand completely and appreciate your quick response. And the new updates with RCR is what is getting me to RCR into these classes and test them out myself and come up with thoughts on what would help these classes out.Tanlaus wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:01 pmThey're not 1 to 1 classes. I only suggested nerf to respond to folks that hate buffs lol.
I'd be curious to know what your thoughts are on Dragon warrior suggestion I had earlier in thread.

Re: AK/WOD
Anointed Knight and Warrior of Darkness are probably the 2 most powerful PrCs for a melee based toon.
You get good saves, you get free Feats that cancel out the Feat cost, you get High AB, you get some DR, you get Anointed Weapon with some important weapon dmg or nice extra crit damage, and then of course, levels 9 and 10 with bonus feats that can really pay out, if you build right.
It's just my opinion, but these PrCs are so fantastic that I personally have a hard time NOT choosing them in my melee builds, every time. Because they deliver so very much...already.

Re: AK/WOD
To be honest the biggest plus for AK/WoD on any melee build is opening up Spellcraft and Tumble/Acrobatics at relatively low cost.
Access to +3 AC and +6 Spell Saves for 7 Skill Points and 1 Feat is extremely strong. All the rest is just a nicely added bonus imo.

Both of which may go away, with the Tumble AC confirmed to be cut in a later patch and Spellcraft being in the works, if memory serves.

I honestly don’t know much about dragon warrior or how it plays. So I just cannot make an informed opinion one way or the other. But it can definitely be looked at once things mellow out a bit.blacksoft wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:12 pmI understand completely and appreciate your quick response. Witt the caveat that there might be other staff who knows the class well and already had thoughts about it. I’m 100% just speaking for myself at this moment.

Re: AK/WOD
This is already the case. WoD gets Hide/MS. AK gets Heal.
