Request: Reverting player tools change

Unread post by Calen »

The old way to bring up player tools required one right-click on the PC with little to no mouse movement in order to bring the menu up.
The current way to bring up the player tool feels clunky and honestly, I'm missing the old one more than I thought I would.
Would it be possible to bring back the old way to bring up the menu as well, as it's a nice QOL?

Dalo set up a chat command, >pctools, that will pull it up. You can macro that to your hotbar and get it in one click. Saving your character is also available via the escape menu now.

The change was put in to prevent DM crashes related to the "context menu" (the right click drop down) having too many items on it. Unfortunately that cause is still present so I dont think there is any chance it will be reverted.

Thank you for the answer, Planehopper.
If it causes crashes for the Dm's, then there is no point in reverting it.
I'll set up a macro, at best it's a preference.

I feel like I have right clicked approximately once every 10 seconds, too, so I get it. What I've started doing is pulling it up right away and then leaving it minimized til I need it again.

I still go to right click first out of habit lmao. I do miss it being there so it would be nice to have it back I agree, especially if the change doesn't actually help what the problem was for. Though appreciated for the attempt!

I probably didnt say that very clearly. I think it is believed that it did work, but since clearing that up was the fix, the issue would still be there if it were reverted.
