Elves also have 1 round respawn timers, irrespective of method of death.

Very good point, elves should have to roll to just remember history. Just sort of gather their thoughts and recollect their memory.

Lots of stuff them elves dont want to remember about history though :P I often ask others on Shandril if they know how X or Y calamity happened and smile when I get to say "elves of course".

On bgtscc, we can level a PC to 30 in like 6 months. That's 7 feats. Your average elf is like 120 Yo, so they should get 14 feats/year. Okay, let's make it 7 cause bgtscc is more intense. Still, every elf should get 7*age feat picks!
Memes aside I do enjoy it when in RP games age actually does equal a bit more life experience. It is kind of odd how a 120 year old elf is at the same skill level as an 18 year old human.

Granted it's all for balance. Really depends on what people value more. Alas I don't think it can be done without being abusable or very unfair.

Elves should also have speak with animals and speak with plants active at all times because even the most hoity toity sun elf is more in tune with the world than a human will ever be. And they can summon a celestial creature, eladrin, or good fey at will. Any kind.

We have to give people the option for weak companions too if they want a challenge playing an elf.

Azariah - Doombringer

Supermod mode, activated. The rest is just my opinion.

This is outrageous!
You paint the elves as some sort of superior race, just because they live for centuries.
Elves do not get any buffs to abilities, skills, languages- they are so frail, and scatterbrained it is a surprise they are event sentient.
The fact is, they should be nerfed!
Elves are the delicate flowers of the playable races. They are fragile, vain, overly sensitive and totally unfocused on anything relevant.
They are too busy frolicking, hugging trees, munching daisies, and complaining about other races to pay attention to anything like current events or let alone history.

There have been recent studies that show that elves are actually severely learning and developmentally challenged. Elves would actually suffer wisdom and intelligence negatives similar to orcs except for the fact that elves have centuries to learn skills, where as orcs do not.
This same study showed specific examples where it took elf children approximately 50 years to even learn how to read. This goes with any skill they attempt to learn. It is suspected that elves tend to just get too distracted by their own reflection, to be able to learn anything effectively.

The dexterity bonus they get only comes after centuries of training. If they had the lifespan of a typical human then your average elf would be seen as a clumsy oaf!

So basically it is their longevity that sort of balances out all their oh so many, many inherent flaws. At least the poor beasts have one good thing going for them.
