Deities and Divine Roleplay question

Unread post by NCrawler »

I like what you all are doing with the roleplay when it comes to deities. Will the same standards apply to Divine Champions of a deity? I believe the only boon I have as a divine champion is lay on hands.

Surely they'll still have behavioral expectations, elsewise they're a champion of nobody.

Curiously, according to the wiki, Divine Champion does not need a deity to be taken as a class, and thus could technically be a non-divine champion. This should probably be worth looking at, either to solve the loophole, or as a principle for the class.
I play a baker. Sometimes she provides counseling or treatment.
Ask about our Breadflower daily special to save five coppers off a purchase of five pastries.
She seems unusually interested in cursed items.
She has also been seeking a variety of gems and stones.

Basically, Steve’s reply there.

As for Divine Champions, they’re champions of their deity’s cause, solely. It’s ironically more flexible than being a paladin or a blackguard. You’re beholden only to the dogma, and not additional oaths or causes of good/evil.

there is 100% a translation issue from your play your sheet rule to PnP. Yes. It's why I am not a huge fanatic for a nwn2 server like BGtSCC to be as close as one can. not until staff start to make rules that are more restrictive on class combos, which is highly unlikely to be imo.

more so after the fact the server lifted a number of PrC app only stuff now we get a mix of this, that and other colorful combos.

My overall sugestion to anyone is to focus on a concept and worry about that, not a class.
After years of trying to give others a chance to prove to me they can shape up here, I have run out of patience. The numbers of nwn2 overall dropping in the past few years have told me the path others truly want to take. Actions speak louder than words.

It's not worth the investment.
