=To the East=
After making preparations for about a week, the Sword of Torm Alexander Holgart can be seen leaving the city with his Squire Jonathan J. Jenkins.

Immediately after a short visit to the Temple of Ilmater the two leave to the east, nothing is said about destination nor the duration of the trip, the details have been shared only with those close to the Knight.

=Oath to Raziel=
Alexander can be seen returning to the city with his squire, after spending some time at the Temple of Ilmater he returns among the Tormtars, likely to report on his activity in the Western Heartlands.

The young Johnathan is visibly in a negative mood, likely something during the trip did not go as planned or simply not well.

Alexander then spends a whole day within the Temple contemplating his greatsword, meditating. Prayers can be heard as he spends time communing with the Divine.

Prayers to Raziel the Firestar, patron of Paladins, bringer of Righteous Anger.

Prayer of Elevation
A contemplation of Purity

Weakened, a ragged visitor appears in the quiet chapel of Torm. Her body trembling from an obviously exhaustive walk, she reaches the Temple in quiet endurance. Upon entering, a young squire rushes to her help. As he walks closer, the young Johnathan J. Jenkins recognizes a familiar figure. Despite obvious concern in his traits, he leads the sister to the Loyan, and watches there from his post, proudly standing guard as the Tormtar Priest keeps the sister standing.

Her attention is soon stolen by the impressive statue of the Loyal Fury. Holding a pure white flower against her chest, whatever she contemplates seems to leave a dreamy frament of silver in her eyes. Shimmering as a summer night vault, her gaze does not leave the marble face, until her body cannot endure anymore. She slowly reaches the ground, kneeling with the help of the Loyal. While the two remain mostly silent, Faith seems to speak for both. Kneeling on the floor, the woman admire the face of duty from below, still drawn to a quiet, revering contemplation. Whatever was perceived remains unspoken. Throughout the night, the praying woman remains, dutiful and diligent in her task.

(MUSIC)

Justice triumphs, the fist of tiranny cracks.

It is in a bath of light that the battle is won, blinding radiance around those answering the Call of Duty.

Alexander Holgart, Sword of Torm, answers the Call as well with many of his brothers and sisters in Faith.

It is without flinching nor doubts that he accepts this final sacrifice as he smiles one last time to his young squire.

In that smile a bitter aftertaste but also hope, hope that he will walk a righteous path without him.

Hope that he will one day understand why, why he had to answer the call.

Hope that he will one day forgive him.

As the light fades, the silence in the room is broken by the door shutting.

The young Jonathan left abruptly.

So too did another accept the call of Torm. A paladin of the faith by the name of Thomas Garlendt was seen entering the temple for a sermon on the 13th of Eleasis, but not leaving. A few heartbroken templegoers later left the temple speaking of the clergy and the paladin having dissipated into golden dust before their eyes. Thomas himself was said to have gone to his fate with a content, warm smile.

His last words had puzzled many in the crowd. "Do tell Carah her coffee was always the best in the Gate." were the words uttered, a lighthearted chuckle added just a moment before he disappeared to go to his final duty.

Ever since the Plea of Torm was made, Ser Gaven Arkalis can be found on his usual path of morning prayer from Tyr to Ilmater then finally to Torm where he can be found propping the door open to allow some light the darkened Temple that will not allow any candle to be lit while the mourning for Torm continues. The Ravenaar man offered lopsided smile to any of those he passed or saw while opening the door to the Temple and would be seen stepping into it, a soft blue glow light emanating from the man as he moved to stand on the opposite side where Loyan Olwyn stood. If any person or folk were to walk in the baritone voice would be heard in the temple, the blue glow offering them some sight of himself.
"Welcome to the Temple of the Loyal Fury." He would offer any while walking to the door way to help guide them to a pew if they so desired.

Others would be seen relieving Gaven, those being a tall, thin and bald man who remains stoic and has an otherworldly calmness around him wearing a blue robe and Torm's holy symbol is on an amulet around his neck. A woman over six feet tall, statuesque, with bright blue eyes and red hair pulled into a braid, usually found armored.

A small procession of individuals, two large men and two women led a man toward the temple of Torm in Baldurs Gate. Tall and broad with hair of gold and girded in his knightly armaments, Sir Wallach, still bearing the cloak embroidered with the symbol of The Order of the Silver Rose was led into the temple. After some quiet minutes the others would emerge, the chief among them a man named Gaven in whose arms were borne the cloak, a knightly blade and fine helm. Whatever happened to the knight who was left to wait before the statue of his patron, none could say, except that he never appeared again.

((For context he is the NPC in the armory. DM preapproved.))

Marcus's education would be a harsh one. Sean starts the boy on physical and academic studies quickly. Daily he would work on and care for the many arms and armor in the temple. The period of instruction would point out a schedule is required for such an armory, but no schedule is offered. Each weapon would be briefly explained, and its care displayed once as an example.

Daily the boy would also be expended to execute a number of drills with a full-sized board sword. No sympathy was offered for blisters or bruises, although for the time being his training weapon would be blunted. Sean would occasionally join for the drills, sparring with Marcus. On those days there are always bruises, though no massive injuries.

In the evenings he would work on learning to read, with a number of texts. As able, Sean is there for these efforts to educate the boy.

The True Resurrection

In the chapel of Torm, a young and solitary priestess that remained after Celwig Olwyn, the former head of the church of Torm in Baldur's Gate, had called all faithful to gather in the wake of gods return to the heavens.

Ria Olwyn, the adopted daughter of the former head priest, speaks with divine inspiration to all those that come to hear her words.

"Torm, the Loyal Fury, has returned! He has returned from beyond! By the grace of Ao, the Overgod, he has been brought back in reward for his sacrifice- for staying True!" - The renewed zeal of the priestess can almost be physically felt. - "He came to me in a vision! So vivid, so glorious! He spoke to me of his return, of the souls of the valiant heroes who laid their lives low to help him slay the Dark Lord Bane! Their spirits are well and all at peace."

But then, her composure had considerably steeled, as she uttered the following words - "However... He also spoke of the duty and the weight of sin our faith bears. The corruption of our brothers and sisters in Tantras and the crimes they have committed against worshippers of other gods of all that is Good." - She paused, measuring those gathered with her gaze - "Torm the True takes up the penance for those sins and so are we. For we have a Duty to perform to not only ourselves and our families but all good beings of Faerun."

The young priestess turned herself around towards the altar, upon which rests a book- the holy scripture- of Torm's faith and his service to Tyr and the Triad. She closes it and places a new, blank one on top of it. There, she begins to write down words as she speaks them - "The Loyal Fury shall redeem his faith and its name by fulfilling Debts that he owes to all good beings of Faerun.

The first. The Debt of Persecution. To repay for the persecution of other religions, the truly faithful will aid other followers of the gods of Good in re-establishing themselves.
The second. The Debt of Dereliction. To atone for the abdication of duty to guard against strife, the Tormtar must spend all possible effort in the elimination of the surviving cults of the dead god, Bane, and oppose the rise of the new power of great evil who is known as Cyric." - The priestess pauses, letting the name of a new foe sink in.

"The third." - Ria continues - "The Debt of Destruction. All Tormtar are obliged to relieve the destruction to the magic that the Weave had suffered during the Godswar. All places where magic ceased to work are to be reported and repaired. All results of the magical chaos that remain upon the land must similarly be undone."

She turns around to face the gathered again. - "These are the words of Torm, this is our Penance of Duty." - Ria Olwyn bows her head and raises the freshly written upon pages for all to see above her head. As she does so, it seems as if the inscribed words themselves shine with divine, golden light.

Once the moment of wonderment passes and the glow fades, she lowers the book and speaks once more - "But that is not all which Torm had shared with me. Penance is but a path towards redemption. However, we tread upon this path unarmed and alone when we do so without an understanding of why the sins were caused and how to prevent them from happening ever again. We bring the risk for it to take place once again. To take away from the True God's lustre. It is why he had decided to change our organisation. Our hierarchy. No more it will be unified. Instead, it will be separated into three tiers. The First will be the Priesthood. The second will be the Knights, Paladins and their orders. The Third will be the Faithful themselves."

At the end, she speaks - "Much I have shared with you this day and there is much more to. For now, leave with his return in your heart and his words in your mind. Leave and do as he would bid us all. Let us not lower ourselves to blind obedience but think upon his words and the weight of the Duty upon us, so that we may carry it responsibly.

Overnight those in the Temple that would be up late in the evening would see Aramon cleaning the Temple from top to bottom, starting in the armory, sharpening weapons, polishing them and the armors, ensuring everything is in its proper place, then moving to sweeping and mopping, then moving to the study hall, cleaning the soot from the fire place, polishing down the tables, chairs, the fire mantle, brushing down the sofa, tidying up any papers or books before again sweeping and mopping the floor. Heading out to the balcony from the study, wiping everything down and sweeping and mopping, sweeping and mopping down the stairs, then into the Temple itself. Polishing the altar, cleaning and washing the pews, cleaning the statue and sweeping and mopping the floor before heading down below, again sweeping and mopping on the way down. Dusting the books, cleaning the chairs and sitting area, making the beds (if they werent being slept in) tidying anything laying around before sweeping and mopping in those rooms, then out towards the stairs once more. Leaving the Temple he would be see sweeping outside, clearing dirt, debris and pulling up weeds from the entry way and polishing up the handles and fencing. All in all, a good clean through the entire place.

A message is left at the temple of Torm for Brother Simon:
Hello Mr. Simon,

Following a battle with a Lich I recovered a pair of odd gauntlets. Mr. Blunt in the Outer City was kind enough to tell me more about them and they appear to have some significance to those of your faith. Knowing what I now know it seemed disrespectful to sell them and wanted them returned to the Church or to the presumed fallen's next-of-kin. Please reach out to me at the Vale estate.

A fairly tall man donned in a suit of full plate and having strange glowing, blue eyes approaches the temple of Torm. The priest at the altar notices his medallion of Tyr and recognizes him as a brother of Tyr. Phandalus hands him a scroll and humbly asks the priest to deliver this message to one of the leaders of the Church of the Triad.

A new daily activity has been taking place the last several days.

Tormish Asen spends the morning hours in the meditation cell, he spends the time there studying a large tome or reciting a number of litanies. Preceding each session he carries a full-size knight's sword to the cell, by it's blade and never the hilt.

Declan entered the Temple of Torm in Baldur's Gate, his footsteps resounding through the sacred halls. The aroma of incense filled the air, intermingling with the soft murmurs of prayers and the flickering candlelight. He observed the intricate details of the architecture and the vibrant stained glass windows, his eyes filled with reverence and determination.

Approaching the front of the temple, Declan knelt before the imposing statue of the Loyal Fury, emanating an aura of strength and unwavering resolve. Closing his eyes, he clasped his hands together and began to whisper a prayer, expressing his devotion and seeking divine guidance.

"Mighty Torm, the Loyal Fury," Declan whispered, his voice filled with deep devotion. "I humbly approach you, seeking your wisdom and strength in these troubled times. Grant me the courage to face the challenges that lie ahead and the discernment to make choices aligned with your teachings."

His voice grew more fervent, brimming with unshakable conviction. "I pledge my loyalty to you, my Lord, and to the noble cause you embody. As your humble servant, I vow to uphold justice, safeguard the innocent, and stand unwavering against the forces of evil. In your name, I shall endeavor to fulfill the debts entrusted to us: assisting fellow seekers of faith, opposing those who sow discord, and restoring the integrity of the magical weave."

Completing his prayer, Declan lingered in silent contemplation, enveloped in a profound sense of peace. The presence of his deity fortified his purpose and deepened his connection to the divine.

Rising from his kneeling position, Declan carried within him the blessings of his faith, ready to embark on the path set forth by Torm. With renewed determination, he departed the altar, his spirit uplifted and his resolve fortified. He would fulfill his sacred duties, serving the Loyal Fury with unwavering devotion, and bringing light to the world through his actions.

Declan Nash, his armor adorned with the sigil of House Marshall, stepped into the hallowed halls of the temple of the Loyal Fury in Baldur's Gate. The scent of incense and the soft flickering of candlelight filled the air, creating an atmosphere of reverence and tranquility.

As a devout follower of the Triad, Declan understood the importance of temple duty. With a humble heart, he approached the senior priest on duty, offering his assistance in whatever tasks were needed. Whether it was tending to the sacred artifacts, organizing the library of holy texts, or attending to the needs of the faithful, Declan eagerly embraced his responsibilities.

With meticulous care, he polished the tarnished shields and weapons adorning the temple walls, ensuring that they gleamed with divine radiance. He dusted off ancient tomes, delicately turning the pages to preserve the wisdom contained within. And he offered a comforting presence to those who sought solace or guidance within the temple, lending a sympathetic ear and offering words of encouragement.

After fulfilling his duties, Declan found a secluded corner of the temple, bathed in the soft glow of candlelight. He knelt before the altar of Torm, his head bowed in reverence. With hands clasped together, he entered a state of deep prayer, his voice a quiet murmur as he spoke his devotions.

In his prayer, Declan expressed his gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon him, acknowledging the divine guidance that had led him to this moment. He sought Torm's strength and guidance, asking for unwavering resolve in upholding justice and protecting the innocent. He prayed for the wisdom to discern right from wrong and the courage to face the challenges that lay ahead.

As his prayer concluded, Declan remained in quiet contemplation, allowing the sacred silence of the temple to envelop him. Thoughts of his past battles and victories, as well as the trials yet to come, danced through his mind. He reflected on the meaning of his path, the sacrifices he had made, and the commitment he held to his calling.

In the stillness of the temple, Declan found solace and renewed purpose. The flickering candles cast dancing shadows on the walls, symbolizing the ebb and flow of life's trials and tribulations. With a sense of clarity, he rose from his knees, his spirit uplifted and fortified.
