Elvalia Ashby

Elvalia Ashby is a female wild elf ranger (10)/favored soul (1) born on the 3rd of Eleasis 1260 DR. Her character is truly neutral. She has a dog companion Kava and a horse named Mynthu. Elvalia believes in Sylvanus. Her maiden name is Ari’nes. Since the day of the Midsummer in 1353 DR she is married to Loth Ashby and shortly after this they started their journey to Baldur’s Gate.

She has almost entirely white hair, olive skin and golden-green eyes. Her ears are pointy, eyelashes – quite long. She is wearing dark green armor with gold elements, brown boots and a brown backpack on her back, where she keeps all the basic stuff, various potions, some food etc. To fight, Elvalia uses a longbow found during one of her and Loth’s hunting expeditions. When she first touched it, she knew that this is THE bow. The perfect bow for her. It’s huge and has many ornaments glowing with a green light.

She really loves nature – Faerun’s fauna and flora. She knows how to befriend many animals, defeat numerously monsters and how to make a lot of plants useful. But she doesn’t feel fully comfortable among humans yet, though she’s working on it every single day. There are still moments when she just want to hide on the treetop for a long hours and birdwatch.

Elvalia was raised in the Neverwinter Wood in a wild elves’ tribe. Her parents were Lorelei and Silvyr. The tribe contained about twelve wild elves and lead a peaceful life till the (probably) Zhentarim members’ attack. The assasins killed evety one elf except Elvalia only because they thought that she’s dead, too – she was heavily injured and unconscious. The attack took place in Mirtul, 1352 DR. Loth Ashby was the one who found her. He saw her trying to slightly move and decided to help her. He took care of her for several days until she got better. This is when she chose to pay off the debt of his benevolence and go with him. Actually she had nothing to lose – all of her relatives were dead and it would be difficult to live on her own, so she decided to give a men who saved her life a chance. After the attack she started to believe in Sylvanus even more – she was incredibly thankful for keeping her alive. Elvalia and Loth went to his village. Next year they got married, then left his villiage to seek adventures, gain life experience and to use her skills as a ranger to earn money during the journey, possibly make friends and enemies. They arrived to Baldur’s Gate in 1355 DR and until now this region is a center of their interest, where they live and hunt. In 1356 DR terrible events started to fell on this region of Sword Coast and Sword Coast at all, along with many other neighbour areas. In early middle of 1357 DR events escalated to the level where they decided to go back to his villiage to ensure safety of his family and region of their origins. Now she and her husband are trying to become members of the Green Enclave. In the future, if she has the opportunity to avenge her family and other tribe members, she’ll definitely take it.
