"Incorrect function:
Programmed image: Hard to get rid of, image can remain in party list"
As stated in that post from 2016 that is still the issue. I report this because from how it sounded like it should have been fixed in the meantime but lacked any kind of feedback.
So here is what happened.
First time, spell cast and dismissed and image disappeard.. yay. But! going though a loading screen made it reappear.
Second time and many more tries after that the image remained.
I once noticed that a groupmember dismissing his own summons made the image go away. I had help but failed to replicate that. In all cases the images stayed. However! Only on my screen. His party rooster was free of any faulty avatars.
I used to kill the image myself and not dispell it. that way it actually works properly.

Oh, this one probably can't be fixed. The thing I was referring to was an actual creature node constantly following you around.
The 'empty party member' thing is an NWN2 bug and happens with many different kinds of summons.
I can try and look into it it but as long as it's not an actual invisible physical creature object following you around, just a blank party icon, then that's not a high priority issue.

Ah, ok.. a misunderstanding then.
And yes, there is sometimes an invisible, immortal horse. It gets attacked by monsters and it seems to happen if you use swarm slots????
Could be any summon though, I am not sure. I just had a feeling that if you use spells with a random amount of summons that these appear.
And they are still a thing. Although maybe less often? I will look out for that now.

I can look into that. Swarms use the proper summoning code though (programmed image originally didn't, which is why it was bad about it), but I'll check.

It happened again and it wasn't a spell using the swarm slot.
So, false alarm there. Something else is hiding behind bushes here.
