Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
Caravans bearing the sigil of House Vale and carrying several shipments of stone would arrive in Triel after being dispatched by the Baldurian lord. They have been instructed to await direction from a representative of House Marshall on final delivery.

Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
Declan Nash had been tasked with a simple mission by House Marshall. He was to ride his warhorse, Aegis, around the surrounding area of Triel and familiarize himself with the people who lived there. It was a task that Declan took seriously, as he knew that the knowledge he gained during this mission would be invaluable in the future.
So, with a nod to Alexander Marshall, the paladin of Torm and Knight of Elturel who had given him the orders, Declan set out on his journey. He rode out of Triel early in the morning, with the sun just starting to peek over the horizon. As he rode, he took in the sights and sounds of the countryside, marveling at the beauty of the rolling hills and the peacefulness of the forests.
As he traveled, Declan stopped at various towns and villages along the way, chatting with the locals and getting a feel for the place. He found that the people of Trielta were a proud and hardworking bunch, with a strong sense of community and loyalty to their land. Declan was impressed by their resilience and determination, and he knew that they would be a valuable ally to House Marshall in the future.
However, Declan's journey was not without its challenges. As he rode through a dense forest, he suddenly heard the sound of clashing steel and fierce battle cries. Drawing his sword and shield, he charged towards the noise, determined to protect the innocent and vanquish any foes who threatened them.
As he emerged from the trees, he saw a group of orcs attacking a small village. The orcs were heavily armed and heavily outnumbered them, but the villagers were bravely fighting back, using whatever weapons they had at hand. Declan knew that he had to act quickly if he was to turn the tide of the battle.
With a fierce battle cry, Declan charged at the orcs, his sword and shield flashing as he struck left and right. The orcs, caught off guard by the sudden attack, fell before him like wheat before a scythe. Declan fought on, his blows swift and sure, his heart filled with the fire of justice.
In the end, the orcs were defeated and the village was saved. The villagers, grateful for Declan's intervention, thanked him profusely and offered him food and shelter for the night. Declan accepted their hospitality with gratitude, knowing that he had done his duty and served House Marshall well. And as he retired to his bed that night, he knew that he had made a difference in the world, and that he had brought a little bit of light into the darkness.

Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
Declan Nash, a stalwart warrior of House Marshall, was charged with leading a patrol through the Reaching Woods, a shadowy and perilous forest that bordered the lands of his lords and masters. With the aid of a select group of his most trusted comrades, all skilled warriors and keen-eyed scouts, he set out on this perilous mission.
As they made their way through the dense woods, Declan remained vigilant, ever-watchful for any signs of danger. He knew that the Reaching Woods was home to all manner of fearsome beasts and treacherous monsters, and he was determined to keep his comrades safe from harm.
Suddenly, Declan heard the sound of snapping twigs and rustling leaves, a clear indication of approaching danger. He swiftly signaled for his companions to halt, then drew his shining sword and sturdy shield, ready to face whatever threat lay ahead.
In short order, a pack of gnolls emerged from the trees, their hyena-like features twisted in snarls of anger and malice. These vicious creatures were renowned for their savagery and cruelty, and Declan knew that he and his companions would have to fight with all their might to emerge victorious.
Signaling to his companions, Declan charged at the gnolls, his sword and shield tearing into them as he struck strong and true. The gnolls fought back with ferocity, but Declan and his companions were well-trained warriors, and they were more than a match for the beasts.
In the end, Declan and his companions emerged victorious, their swords and shields slick with the blood of the vanquished gnolls. Taking a moment to catch their breath, they continued on their patrol, their spirits lifted by the joy of victory and their hearts filled with the glory of battle.

Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
Upon returning to Triel, Declan made his way straight to Alexander Marshall, the paladin of Torm and Knight of Elturel who had given him his orders. He knew that Alexander would want to hear of the events that had transpired during his patrol of the Reaching Woods.
Declan found Alexander near the build site, where he was overseeing the arrival of stone from House Vale. Declan approached and knelt before him, offering a formal report of his mission.
"My lord," he began, "I have completed my patrol of the Reaching Woods and have encountered a group of gnolls, they had set an ambush along the tree line. We engaged in battle, and with the aid of my skilled companions, we were able to emerge victorious and defeat the beasts."
Alexander listened attentively to Declan's report, nodding thoughtfully as he spoke. When Declan had finished, he placed a hand on the young man's shoulder and gave him a grave look.
"Well done, Declan," he said. "Your bravery and valor in the face of danger are an inspiration to us all. I am proud of you and your companions for your victory, and I know that your actions will insure the people are that much safer."
Declan felt his chest swell with pride at Alexander's words, knowing that he had lived up to the expectations of his lord and mentor.
"Thank you, my lord," Declan said, bowing his head in respect. "It is my honor to serve House Marshall and protect our lands and people. I will continue to do so to the best of my abilities."
Alexander nodded, a pleased smile on his face. "I have no doubt of that, Declan," he said. "You have proven yourself to be a faithful and loyal servant of House Marshall, and I am confident that you will continue to do so in the future. Now go and rest, for you have earned it."
Declan thanked Alexander once more, then turned and left for his tent, his heart filled with a sense of pride and purpose. He knew that he had a long road ahead of him, but he was ready to face any challenges that came his way, for he was a warrior of House Marshall, a defender of justice and honor.

Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
The late morning of the 26th of Mirtul sees a visitor wandering up to the Marshall Estate, a scent of recently baked goods left in her wake. A cheerful hin woman clad in rustic clothing and a deep golden belt comes bearing a large wicker basket covered with a yellow cloth. Within it, a veritable bounty of freshly baked cinnamon buns lies in wait for the inhabitants of the manor.
She makes her delivery and hurries on her way, a brief mention made of her return to Gullykin in the south.

Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
"Sir? Sir Nash, are you present?" a call reverberated from beyond the confines of his field tent.
"What is the matter? It is the hour of prayer. Why do you make your rounds now?" Declan inquired with a touch of consternation.
"I bring a missive, Sir. It hails from the Warden of Triel," the messenger replied with visible unease.
A commotion emerged from within the thick canvas enclosure before the flap was gently pushed aside, allowing the knight to step into the embrace of the morning light. He offered a subtle smile to the messenger, a lad hailing from one of the local farms.
"Relax, young one. There is no animosity to be found within this tent. No acrimonious words or gestures," Declan assured, extending his open palm in a conciliatory gesture. "What message does Sir Marshall convey?"
The young man promptly placed the rolled parchment into Declan's awaiting hand before promptly attempting to make his hasty departure.
"Hold on now... Not so hastily. You make me uneasy. Have you perused the contents within?" Declan queried, one of his eyebrows arching as he towered over the trembling young messenger.
"No! No, Sir Nash. I would never-" the words stumbled from his quivering lips.
A hearty laughter erupted from the morning camp, elicited by the sight of Declan playfully tormenting the messenger in good fun.
"I jest. Calm yourself. Partake in breakfast by the fire," the knight declared before directing his attention towards the camp cook and exclaiming, "Ensure that this young man is nourished and provided with sufficient provisions for his family. He shall have my share." With a warm smile, he turned back to the now grinning messenger. "I extend my gratitude for your expeditious delivery of this missive." The knight then respectfully inclined his head to the boy before dispatching him to partake in the meal.
Breaking the wax seal, Declan unfurled the missive and perused its contents with meticulous attention. A resolute expression took hold of his countenance as he reached the conclusion of the message.
Over the ensuing days, he embarked on a journey to the neighboring farms, engaging in conversations with the denizens therein. At each stop, he deposited a modest amount of supplies into a wagon, which was driven by the same messenger. He also spoke with those endowed with strength and capability. While some declined his proposition, a select few grasped his outstretched hand and commenced their preparations.
Within a span of ten days, a convoy comprising two wagons and several horses, not all with riders, commenced its southward trek towards the verdant expanse of the Greenfields. The banner of House Marshall fluttered gallantly in the warm embrace of the summer breeze.

Re: House Marshall - Rumors and Roleplay
A couple days had passed and word had spread about a recent attack. A lone orc, armed with steel, slain at the bridge by House Marshall and their allies. The not so common knowledge of a message carried by the orc, is what troubled Declan as he stood guard at that very spot.
Pulling a small orb of glass from a pouch on his hip, the Knight placed orbs of magical light along the path of the bridge. With it now covered in a warm glow, he stood at the front, barring passage as his thoughts paced over the events that transpired.
His brows furrowed as he replayed Micar’mizzrym’s translation of the message over in his mind. The target was a member of the House. Those he was sworn to protect. Now, with friends of the House visiting more frequently, his protection would envelop them as well.
“Duty bind. Ever vigilant on your patrol.” Declan spoke as he was stirred from his thoughts by a group of Hellriders heading out from the castle.
“Eyes sharp!” One called back, his voice fading as the clatter of hooves to dirt quickly drown him out as they take to trail.
Declan tightened the strap of his shield arm and made a few minor adjustments to his armor. There he stood, vigilant. His duty to House and Triel, clear.

Under the open sky, Alexander stands atop a grassy hill, his gaze fixed upon the burgeoning village of Triel. The sounds of construction fill the air as the workers toil diligently, in attempt to turn the once barren land into a thriving community. With his greatsword planted firmly into the ground; Alexander bows his head in prayer.
"Torm, It is to you that my words now call. Look upon this humble village, Triel, and bless its endeavors. Grant them strength and prosperity, that they may thrive in harmony and find solace in their toil. Guide their hands to build a community that stands as a testament to your teachings, a haven for the weary and a bastion of hope."
As the wind whispers through the blades of grass, Alexander's voice carries on, his words filled with reverence.
"Grant me, your servant, the wisdom to protect these lands and its people. Strengthen my arm, that I may wield this blade as symbol of your divine presence, to vanquish the shadows that may threaten their peace. Grant me clarity and unwavering resolve to carry out your will and defend the innocent from the encroaching darkness."
His grip tightens around the hilt of the blade, his eyes closing as he channels his devotion.
"In this moment of quiet contemplation, I offer my prayer to you, Torm. May my actions be guided by your divine light, and may I serve as some small part toward a beacon of hope and justice to all who seek it. Grant me the strength to fulfill my sacred duty and the compassion to aid those in need. For in your name, I pledge my service."
As the last words escape his lips, Alexander's prayer concludes. His eyes reopen, and a sense of renewed purpose shines through them. He withdraws his sword from the ground, the blade gleaming in the sunlight, and takes a resolute step forward. Eventually, he descends the hill, ready to protect and defend the fledgling village of Triel.

Gaven Arkalis discovers Wisica, Artist Rendering
In the late evening hours Gaven Arkalis discovered a heavily injured halfling near Castle Triel's battlement identified as Priestess Wisica Weatherbee.
The knight's quick work to immediately stabilize Wisica provided time for additional assistance to locate them.
In a moment of crisis, Alexander Marshall and Declan Nash found themselves faced with a gravely wounded Wisica. The scene was filled with tension and urgency as they assessed her condition. Wisica lay upon the ground, bloodied and unconscious, the victim of a vicious attack by gnolls.
Declan Nash was filled with concern as his eyes darted around, taking in the discarded arrows and the pale, motionless form of the halfling. It was clear that immediate action was needed to save her life.
Gaven , determined to do everything in his power to help, took charge. He quickly realized that time was running out and decided to perform a healing incantation. But as the spell took effect, it became apparent that it was not enough to save Wisica. Her injuries were severe, including a pierced lung, and blood still filled her chest cavity.
In a desperate attempt to stabilize her, Alexander began to assess her treatment. Recognizing the seriousness of the injury, he explained the necessary treatment. [REDACTED FOR GRAPHIC DETAIL]

As the bleeding slowed and Wisica's condition stabilized, relief washed over the group. They had bought her precious time, but her road to recovery would be long and arduous. They knew that her survival was not guaranteed, but they had done everything in their power to give her a fighting chance.
With her immediate needs addressed, they carefully moved Wisica to a nearby tent, where Micar'mizzrym Iliathor awaited. Micar'mizzrym took charge of cleaning and dressing Wisica, ensuring her comfort and preserving her dignity.
Outside the tent, Alexander, Gaven, and Declan reflected on the gravity of the situation.
Fiendish Gnolls, Artist Unknown
A small group then left the fortification and heading into the Reaching Woods. Weapons drawn, moving with sense of purpose. Included among those mentioned were other associates such as Maevyn Edgar, Karai, and Aleth. A patrol of the Reaching Woods for answers and presence took the emboldened group several candlemark to accomplish; a somber task executed to ensure no additional casualties may be in need.
For the next tenday; increased presence of House Marshall in the Reaching Woods will be pressed to ensure the incident is an isolated event.
