So if you enter in the Ulcaster Ruins and go in the acid area, when acid begins to damage a character - if you logout and go to the server 2 and teleport directly to Baldur's Gate instead of Ulcaster into the acid, you will be walking normally in BG (or wherever you want to), but with the acid splashes hitting you indefinetely.
After a lot of work with ADM Midnight, we found a way to fix it: being brought back in the acid pool, moving the character to another area where there's no acid inside the Ulcaster ruins, and then being brought back somewhere else.

Re: Ulcaster Acid Bug
I think I can resolve this, but you really shouldn't be leaving a dungeon area to teleport to the Nexus of the other server. This could be viewed as panic/death-logging (though I'm not saying that's what you did in this case) and could be tantamount to Nexus Warping, which traditionally has been explicitly against the rules, though I guess this water has gotten muddy since we've moved to a two-server setup.Deragnost wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:41 pm So if you enter in the Ulcaster Ruins and go in the acid area, when acid begins to damage a character - if you logout and go to the server 2 and teleport directly to Baldur's Gate instead of Ulcaster into the acid, you will be walking normally in BG (or wherever you want to), but with the acid splashes hitting you indefinetely.

Re: Ulcaster Acid Bug
Nono, it wasn't a panic/death-logging - I can make myself immune to acid so that wasn't the case. It's just I wanted to get out but I couldn't find the exit and I was without teleportation scrolls (if they even worked in there) and the server reset was 5 hours and a half away. Honestly I didn't want to spend the next 5 hours and half waiting in the acid.Endelyon wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:19 am I think I can resolve this, but you really shouldn't be leaving a dungeon area to teleport to the Nexus of the other server. Re: Ulcaster Acid Bug
Did Endelyon fix this, or is it still an issue? Sorry that the workaround is awful! I did not anticipate this edge-case; Ulcaster was coded back when this was a one-server server.
