Help connecting to multiplayer.

I need help connecting to multiplayer. It says i need a cd key and cant remember how to get past that. Im using it on steam.

I think you look up the cd key in your GOG profile and then put it in the cd key ini in your installation folder.

yeah ive tried that and it does not work. I try launching from steam and nothing. I tried that client thing and that does not work. Keys are in there its just not seeing it. Also im using steam.

Ive redownloaded it and everything. Is the only way to get it done not through steam? Not really hip on paying 20 bucks again for a game i have.

I don't have a copy of the game on Steam, so I don't know how to view CD keys for it on Steam.

If you can figure out how to get the CD keys you can use serialtool.exe inside the installation folder to type them in.

Maybe someone who owns the Steam version can advise where those are found, sorry I can't be of more help in this regard.

I do not own steam version as I have the original game but the CDkeys are indeed in the nwn2cdkey.ini on the original at least.

I also use the steam version. If that is your problem, you need to create a .ini file called nwncdkey.ini

Inside, the CDkeys have to be pasted like this:

Key2=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Key3=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Just switch X'es to your actual CDkey values. Also, remember to put this file in your Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2
