Physical description:
An average height human woman, with wavy shoulder length raven hair, bright piercing blue eyes, fair complexion, and a toned athletic build. Her common is spoken with a thick Damaran accent. She wears the uniform of the Moon Knights when out on patrol or ready for battle. Silvery mithril full plate, with a midnight blue cloak and under armor, which is designed in such a way to be quickly stripped of incase of falling into deep water. Her midnight blue cloak is embroidered with the symbol of Selune. strapped to her left arm is an impressive tower shield nearly the height of the priestess wearing it, with a hinge hook that attaches to her left pauldron to help bear the weight with enough ease to use it as a weapon as easily as to protect herself. On it is the astrological symbol for the True North Star, and also what can be seen as the symbol for the highest phase of Selune in her symbol. chained to her hip is a prayer book of Selune, and her selunite symbol, a silver dish with Seleune's eyes etched into the mirrored surface. Hanging on her hips as well is a Morning star, and curiously a Bladeless hilt which acts as her focus for her Moonblade. Out of her armor, she wears simple practical clothes. often dirty from an honest day's job helping the dock workers and fishermen alike. A simple tunic and work pants works well enough for her. Often in a midnight blue with a silvery white accent when it can be managed.

Psychological description:
Katli embodies the role of the radically honest person. Due to her beliefs she often speaks her mind, asks harsh and often inappropriate questions that can make others uncomfortable, or laugh for saying what they are thinking. You'll always know where you stand with her if you ask, because she'll tell you. Below her radical honesty, is a kind compassionate heart that is devoted to her faith, and the easing of suffering, especially of those pressed unwillingly into service, upto and including full slavery, which she abhors with all her being due to her mother being taken as a slave when Katli was a child.

She is generally an inquisitive person, and finds it grating when she senses someone is withholding something from the conversation, her radical honesty usually forces her to ask and press further for details which can make the other party uncomfortable. If she senses or knows its a lie, she looses immediate respect for the person, which pains her, as lying is doing the work of Shar.

Her hatred for the Zhentarium equals her distain for Sharrans, as when she was 6 years old, a Zhent slave raid attacked the small but growing settlement of Elmwood for slaves, in the chaos, Katli was hidden under the floor boards of her house, but her mother sealed her in, knowing that she did not have time to slip down there heself. Katli watched her mother get beat up in her home before dragged off unconscious in the struggle. The feeling of weakness and being unable to help drives her today to relentlessly punish slave holders and slavers themselves.

Religious views:
Katli is a true believer in The Moonmaiden, Selune, and as a result, follows the dogma of Selune faithfully. She also recognizes that the war of the sisters has raged and never ceased, and as such, with her training, is a devout warrior of Selune. She understands you can promote acceptance and tolerance while simultaneously not tolerating those that cause Suffering in the world. They either repent and find truth and devotion in the light, or die and be claimed by their dark deities beliefs and be claimed into servitude for the rest of eternity. As Shar is the goddess of of deception and lies, the only mercy she can perform for a repentant Sharran is to allow them to repent honestly and openly before striking them down and letting Selune's divine wisdom sort if they are telling the truth or not. In this, she can be seen as a harsh fanatic, but such is the way of a warrior fighting in a war that has spanned nearly all of time, and has only intensified after the time of troubles.

Dogma
"Let all on whom Selune’s light falls be welcome if they desire. As the silver moon waxes and wanes, so too does life. Trust in Selune’s radiance, and know that all love alive under her light shall know her blessing. Turn to the moon, and she will be your true guide. Promote acceptance and tolerance. See all other beings as equals. Aid fellow Selunites as if they were your dearest friends."

That comfort and love from her daughter allowed her to die peacefully from black lung rot, from being forced to work tirelessly in a mine near Zhentil Keep.

No sisters or brothers, Katli is an only child. Aunts/Uncles/cousins currently unknown.

History
Katli grew up in a little sea side village of Elmwood, born to Davron and Shaeli Lovric, who gave her a simple life of a village girl. The peaceful life was shattered in the summer of 1346 when a slaver raid attacked the small village of 500, while the raid distracted the militia of the town, a slaver squad snuck around and started to abduct villagers who were not trained to defend themselves. Shaeli hid Katli in the floor boards when she noticed the squad heading for their house on the outskirts, but didn't have the time to slip into the crawl space herself and hid the entrance just as the slavers kicked down the door. From the cracks in the floor, Katli watched her mother get picked up and tossed across the room, before being knocked out and carried away. On the slaver's arm, she noticed a tattoo of a black snake with wings unfurled descending to swallow the world. She was scared, terrified, and helpless, but fought back the tears in fear of crying would draw more to her. She hid under the floors until her father came home, covered in cobwebs and dirt did she finally emerge.

After the slaver raid, her father took her onto his small fishing ship when he went on his trips. He rather risk them both be taken at sea, then to come home and find that she was taken in another raid. She learned in her preteen years how to be a ship hand and sailor, helping tie knots, keep track of the speed and direction of the ship, and practice riggings as well. She spent time back in the village repairing fishing nets and lines, and sharpening harpoons. She became quite adept onboard her father's ship and a useful hand to him. Her father gave her a light mace, and taught her to aim for the knees of people that might try to take her, then aim for the nose. If you break their knees they can't stand and it brings their head closer and easier to hit.

One day in 1350, she came across a curious gently glowing stone, or at least it appeared that way, and brought it to Alamarayne Moonray feeling it important to show the priestess the pretty rock. Alamarayne was surprised to recognize a moonstone, and said that Katli was lucky and blessed to have found the stone, and that she should keep it to give her blessings from Selune to protect her and her father. Katli asked what sort of prayers she could say to ask for that protection, and Priestess Moonray instructed her on a few prayers and blessings to help protect the ship at sea. after a few short months of practicing the prayer while holding the moonstone, did it suddenly glow, and all the nets cast into the water became full of fish and a mighty haul the likes her father never had seen before was caught and returned happily to Elmwood to feed the village. Katli went to Alamarayne and told her what had happened. Alamarayne said that the Moonmaiden answered her prayers and Katli could become a priestess if she was willing. She was, but was worried about leaving her father behind. Her father let her go with his blessings, hoping for her to have a better and safer future then he could provide, and gave her his necklace of protection.

She was sent to Silverymoon to train at the Temple of the Silver Stars. She reliquished her Moonstone to them as proof of her claim, and studied deeply into the faith. By 1353 she had completed not only her basic preistess training, but was so devout that she was allowed to train as one of the fabled Silverstars there under the tutelage of Shanathera Moonsoul. As a gift of completing her entrance training, she received her moonstone back, but it was polished and set within a mithril circlet which she wore proudly. That night, she received a vision that needed interpretation at the House of the Moon in the City of Splendors.

Once there, she began to train as a warrior priestess, adept in fighting the shadowy forces of Shar, how to disrupt their magic, summon a Moonblade, and take to the chaos of battle like a fish to water. It was there, during this training, that Katli's skills and mastery of divination allowed her to scry for her mother, after a dream vision told her to do so, and it was urgent. Katli scried upon a mirror and prayed to see her mother's face, and she did. Her mother was sick, stuck in some cave, gaunt, and coughing up black inky blood. Her mother's hands were cracked and calloused, from years of forced labor in some mine, and finally that toll was due. Katli focused a sending prayer to her mother. "Mother, it's Katli, I'm here, you don't need to suffer any more, you can let go, I love you." She watched tears well up in her broken mother's eyes, and watched her let out a wretched cough. "you've grown so much, I'm proud of you my child, I love you as well." and with that, she let out a final gasp as she reached for a stream of soft white light that was just out of view of the scrying sensor and she watched her mother die. A comforting presence was felt by Katli as she cried, and she knew that Selune let her say goodbye to her mother, and she was with Her now. The same memory of the day she was taken flashed in her mind, and the tattoo appeared again, fresh in her mind, and took to looking for it's meaning, and didn't have to look far. The order which beared that mark upon its banner was an old enemy. And one she would never forgive.

A vision briefly sent Katli to Baulder's Gate, the moon waning over the coat of arms of Baulder's Gate. Once it was interpreted as the diminishing faith of the Selunites in the area, and Katli was called to restore it. However, when the godfall happened, Katli returned to the City of Spendors upon hearing Selune had appeared there. But by the time she arrived, it was discovered that the one who had appeared was Shar instead, and a great battle took place once the deception was found. there were many agents of Shar within the House of the Moon that had slipped away when Shar was forced to retreat from the temple and city. Katli took the chance to retaliate against those agents, hunting them down, and executing them for their incidious nature and betrayal. Some of them were even in the same classes as Katli back in Silverymoon. Once there were no more agents, Katli was offered a chance to join the Moon Knights, a sect of warrior priestesses that help the paladins and warriors chase down dangerous Sharrans and bring them to light, and join in the war between the light and darkness. Katli eagerly accepted the offering and returned to the Gate, a new and reinvigored woman.
