Could it not been cool if Master alchemist could make brew out a Potion so you get 3 potion out of one potion ,if you have a potion now the Druid and priest cant not make potion from lvl 4 and up but have a old potion so it make a brew out of old potion so it make 3 out of it?

Re: Master Brew
He is suggesting ( as I understand it and correct me if wrong Lock) that at the current moment because of ToT and Cleric and Druid being unable to cast past 4th lvl that potions made should be at a gain of 3 versus a gain of one on creation.Destinysdesire wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 3:22 am Admittedly....this post is VERY confusing trying to understand what you mean.
Likely also a suggestion for future when magic settles and all that but I can understand the suggestion for the now.

Re: Master Brew
What makes less sense is the part where you're using a potion to make three potions.
There is precedent for this, sadly - you can use a scroll or wand to make another scroll or wand - but I'm not sure it's something that should be encouraged further.

Re: Master Brew
well the idea was you need a potion any potion with a spell in side the potion so you have a feat that make the 3 potion of the potion you need so you lose the potion you need and you make 3 new of the potion you lose tha tis the alchemist way

Re: Master Brew
My understanding of this is how some item creation skills create multiple items. I think things like tanglefoot bags, holy water and alchemist fire. A single casting will make multiple items.
The suggestion here sounds like a feat that allows the character to brew potions, multiple times for a single casting. So instead of using 1 potion bottle and paying 500 gold to cast a spell and ending up with that spell in a single potion, it would allow the character say 3 potions from a single casting and single cost of gold.
Making this a feat requiring 30 ranks is a cool idea, but the gold economics are already pretty broken for the server and being able to reduce time and costs for potions may not be the greatest change for potion usage.
Personally, I think potions should be able to be sold to merchants that could pay more than what it costs to bottle them or the consignment adds a potion category that lets players place up to 10 different types of potions.
This way brewers can actually focus on brewing for business instead of being stuck with over supply of inventory.
Adding a feat that reduces costs for potions, could make potions cheaper and faster to make at epic levels, but the character can only get rid of so many at a time. They would mostly be stuck with inventory or selling back to a shop. There could also be some exploitable effect, to where the epic brewer creates 100 potions and sells them to a merchant with little to no loss, then logs in a different character to buy the 100 potions for very, very cheap cost.
I think the 1 for 1 creation is a necessity for some balance. Time wise, people with less time to play will not find master brewers very useful on account of the brewing is very difficult during adventures and time consuming rest requirements, bottle weight does add up too.
Maybe adding some xp for each potion created based on spell level would be useful. Being able to toggle between alchemist fire and acid would also be nice. Refining and concentrating poison for increasing poison DCs would also be awesome, if the brewer took the use poison feat.
